    Thanks for that am going to look for Glenn Miller CD now and have got brown paper I remember those tags but haven't seen them around for years will have to look on ebay I think thanks for that.

    Have just found this place on the net to buy wicker baskets from they look quite good prices but they do everything,baskets,pull bows etc.

  • Thanks Pink winged for the link I have found the ideal hamper to make my grandad I am going to make him a WW2 hamper which will include 2 cd's one of them vera lynn not sure about the other one yet, a ration book and an id card all will be in a shoe box wrapped in hhmm not sure maybe brown paper any other ideas anyone ? was thinking maybe some sweets. Have bid on a ration book on ebay:T


    Past Times had a sale on the other day with loads of WW2 type thingies. Might be worth a look.;)

    I have ordered one of these thanks:D and have also found an enamel mug which I am going to fill with his favourite turkish delight, and he will have 2 cd's can't wait to get it all and put it together:T

  • Just an idea in case you don't get the one on ebay, but you can buy replica ones of these.I've seen them in one of our local museums.

  • Mummyslittleboy, I have gotten those "luggage tags" before in proper office stationary stores - rather than general stationary stores. If you look in stores that seem to be dealing with businesses, they might have them.

    I am making progress with a good few OS type presents, and the growing of the veg for the dinner. But I want to plant a few carrots in the garden to add to the mix - I hope to get the pot I need emptied and refilled this week. And I must blanche a few bags of french beans, so that I can keep at least one serving for Xmas. This week should also see lots of progress on crafting (mostly sewing, but some cards too) as I am taking a few days off while DD starts school.
