Competitions are posted on MSE for the benefit of MSE users and shouldn't be copied onto other sites so please whoever is running that site find your own competitions. People put in a lot of hard work and effort to find competitions and post them on this site and they deserve the gratitude for doing so.

Aside from the timings of competitions being posted the other tell-tale signs were the text used. Lakshmi posted a competition here for Rose Bowl tickets and it seems strange that the single line of text used by Lakshmi in their post is the same as the one used on that website. Also for the MTV awards competition that I posted here, they have copied my line of text "You need to be available from Saturday 6th November to Monday 8th November". I wrote this line myself, and it does not appear like this anywhere on the competition, so they must have stolen it from MSE.

Sorry, rant over, but it infuriates me so much.

Finally I strongly advise people against using that particular website. All competitions are free to access on MSE, but don't appear to be on that site.

there's a few other comp sites that copy the comps from here
as well, have caught out one or two as well using exactly the same postings as mine from the magazine comps i post,

abuse will only ask them to stop the copying, that's what they did for me, then it still carried on so reported it again but abuse said they can only ask the site owners to ask the person/s copying to stop, if the person/s copying say there not copying it's hard to prove even when the wordings are exactly the same,
it still carries on

liking the entered button, though it keeps telling me it was unable to mark as entered before converting to the unenter option within posts. im assuming that will work itself out at some point.

but please reassure me im not being blind and missing a blatantly obvious marker on the main page list showing its been clicked iyswim.

ahh nm it dont work in the old version....shall try the "less bright" new style for a while and see if i can gte used to it or not. should have spotted and read the thread first lol

Hiya! I decided today that i was going to set up a new e-mail via yahoo especially for this, i entered a few comps and then went offline, my account is now inaccessible... i cant log in using the password i entered (or any other that i would normally use), tried to answer the security question but that had been changed too!! So now my account has gone. It would appear i have been well and truely hacked via one of these comps.

P.s. i dont know where else to post this, which is whi i posted it here!

Tbh no...! lol! There was the one for an ipad that you just sign up to a news letter, there was a nick junior chuggington one, one for a mr bump first aid kit, one for ozzfest tickets but i cant remember what else!

I would guess the ipad one - seen a few of them that look dodgy! And you are not winning the ozzfest one - that is mine! My purchased tickets turned up this morning - but I want the VIP and Ozzy meet and greet!

Did you use the same password to register for sites as your email account password??

I think Yahoo had issues today, as when i went via my url history to check my mail there, it asked for all my details, yet im perm logged in, it asked for mobile number etc to confirm my password?

I pulled away as i knew it wasn't right, went via google to yahoo and as i clicked i went automatically into my mail.

try going via google, i think it might be more of a yahoo has serious issues than a dodgy comp, when i went to my yahoo mail, I hadn't done any comps for today .

well it wont be mine as i cant get into my bloomin e-mail! lol! The ipad one looked v legitimate. No i dont think i did. I Think i might just have a comping password and e-mail. I was even thinking about getting one of the cheapy phones that are being posted on grabbit so i can give that phone number of needs be. I Just flicked back through the comps and i cant remember doing any others though it seemed like i did loads! lol. I didnt buy tickets as i probably wouldnt get time off work but i would skive if i had the chance to meet Ozzy!!!

nope, i tried going through google, then through the link on the yahoo homepage, then yahoomail.com... none worked! My security questions have changed too so i think someone has tampered, seeing as i have ONLY used the e-mail for comps it cant be from anything else!
