Hey :) Can someone please explain what the 'Thanks' stats mean...

When I have posted a message underneath my name it says...

Thanked 1,008 Times in 250 Posts

I noticed a thread earlier on the comps board where someone had said something regarding not thanking someone when entering comps. I make sure I thank everytime I enter but looking at my stats it says I have only thanked 1008 times??? There is no way that this is correct?? Can someone please help me understand them? :(

I think that is how many times people have thanked you ;)

The 1008 refers to the number of thanks you have received.

If you want to see how many posts a person has thanked click on their name, user profile, the Statistics tab and Find all posts thanked by.... This will, however, only list the last 300 posts a person has thanked - unfortunately there are some compers who have not thanked that many!

    HTH:)

Aha!! You might know which post I was talking about ;) I wondered how you knew only 13 posts had been thanked! :D That's what started my thinking! It's a shame there is no stat to show the total amount, it'd be interesting to know how many competitions I had entered altogether! :D

    Hi

I am not sure if this is the right place to put this, if it isn't please let me know and I will delete it.

I have entered a competition on BRMB and I need as many people to vote for me as possible. If you could spare a minute to take a look and vote I would owe you a big one. The link is http://www.brmb.co.uk/Article.asp?id=1916463 and I am finalist number 3 Maria Clune.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

    Love Maria Clune xxxx

voted for you when you posted this in the comps board, it's now been moved to the 'vote for me' thread from the comps board,
    good luck xx

The primary method used on here is to click the "Thanks" button on the post.As a failsafe you could then subscribe to the comp via "Thread Tools" drop down in the post.A tick will then appear alongside the comp when looked at in page view.
When the "I have entered" button appears things should be simpler though
