Hi, I'm new here :wave: Am already a freebie addict so thought I'd attempt to win something (am not fussy - with my luck I can't afford to be!).

I'm not sure if this is the right thread as I'm still finding my way around this section, but has anyone else ever had problems when trying to join the What's On TV website? Have tried a couple of times, but it says that there is a problem with my house number or postcode when I try to submit and create an account - despite the correct address coming up under the "find my address" function. Any ideas or am I just not going to be able to enter!

I had problems signing up with that one and some days it accepts my log-on and others it doesn't - if you have the patience keep trying it will work eventually. The Sun is another one that does the same.

Can you add adblock plus to IE? The whole skimlinks business is really concerning me as I have already had a java trojan from a link on here and I certainly don't want anyone tracking where I have been online, surely this only benefits fraudsters??

There is an Add Block version for IE 8 available here not sure if it works as good as the Firefox version as I don't use IE

Hi Crin,it's not just MSE .Amilucky's link just illustrated it for us but the same will apply to all forums & sites.Every site on the internet will be analysed by google in the same way or at least that is my understanding.I in no way feel MSE are the devils here it's just how the net works.We'll just have to get used to it or find work arounds.

I noticed a thread earlier on the comps board where someone had said something regarding not thanking someone when entering comps. I make sure I thank everytime I enter but looking at my stats it says I have only thanked 1008 times??? There is no way that this is correct?? Can someone please help me understand them?
