Well, I would enter comps from places that i know, such as if tesco did comps, I would enter, but I wouldnt enter them on 'www.free-ipad.com' as I think this would be a scam.

To prevent spamming you have to write a certain number of posts before you are allowed to post links.

If you post details of the comp someone will come along and post the correct link.

    Good luck

I have one small question which I hope someone can help me with.

I notice that many of the competitions' T&C state that entry is for "UK residents only". I am a British citizen and have a permanent UK address/base and currently, I am travelling around Europe for a year. :shhh:

Does this automatically disqualify me from entering those competitions which specifically state "open to UK residents only"?

Would I be correct in assuming that a UK resident is someone who has a UK passport and/or a residential address in the UK?

Apart from checking an entrant's IP address, is there any way of knowing whether someone is a UK resident or not at the time when a competition was entered? And if IP addresses are taken into consideration when selecting winners, what about entries from UK residents who are entering competitions while temporarily travelling abroad (on business, on holiday, etc)?

Apologies for asking such a daft question but I don't fancy wasting lots of time entering competitions for which I am not eligible or which may see me getting disqualified (or in the worst case scenario having to return any prizes won and being publicly named and shamed )!

Any leads you can provide would be appreciated muchly! :)

    Cheers!

PS Hope I have posted this in the right place (I am still learning to find my way around here! :))

re the tick for entered.....i am missing it on the first post on each page too, vcant remember if that one ever showed with a tick but it deff doesnt now.
I always wonder if having the laptop on your legs for hours on end every day is safe.....radiation and all that :/

ive had a laptop on my legs most every day, from i get up to i go to bed, for the past 7 years so far. though the past 4 or so years ive used a beanbag tray to hold it and this year i bought a laptop table at ikea.
no untoward effects that ive noticed aside from the heat when lappy got too warm lol (hence the tray)

I'm pretty sure that you count as a British Resident, but how awful not being able to see your wins for a year!

I think that for most smaller competitions, they probably would only post the prize to a UK address. There may be more thorough checks if you won a biggie.

quiz on the radio you have to guess whats in the box, have the following clues.

    Spaghetti
    Just Like That
    Captain Chaos
    Discipline
It may turn into something really good
    Stayin Put

Any ideas on what is in the box, can be any item, but more than likely a prize
