  • hello all

im a newbie so forgive me for asking a stupid question :)

Im still trying to navigate my way round what seems to be an amazingly comprehensive site but thought 2 weeks ago i read a post advising how to subscribe to a weekly email updating all recently added new comps. I signed up to it, received one email and nothing since?

I can't find the original thread which advised how to do it and obviously im weary that im missing comps as was relying on doing it via the weekly notification.

Please can any of you regs help? Many thanks x

  • Wouldn't the best solution to all this be to start a poll?
I understand some people want it changed while a lot don't
Run a poll and let the results speak for themselves. Majority vote obviously
That way everyone gets a say and the BG's become aware how many actually want the change.

Do you have more hours in the day where you live Korky? I can't keep up with the comps as it is without having all of those magazine puzzles to solve on top :)

the forum update emails i ahve found are very irregular, they work fine for a few days then not for a few weeks. tbh ive found them a bit of a waste really as there are generally 200ish comps added a day and its much quicker to just come to the forum and look at them down the main listings.

but it wouldnt be a fair poll until using the regular board has been tried by everyone for a while. once people get into the habit of remembeirng to swing by and check for new posts in there (to enter once only rather than everyday if thats what they want to do) people may decide they like ahving those posts off main. now people are objecting to the *idea* of using it with no experience of having tried it.
