Hi, I'm just wondering whether people have setup separate FB accounts for their comping ? Ta

  • Hi,

I'm new to this so please be gentle. I've been looking around for something unusual to get my girlfriend for Christmas and found this website that claims to enter lots of competitions on your behalf for what seems like a fairly reasonable £30 for 6 months gift.

Now, I'm struggling because I'm usually an ultra careful person, been a victim of credit card fraud once already so not keen to repeat the process, but this seems like quite a fun idea. There are lots of 'customers' saying they've won various things and the site has good feedback on review centre.

BUT I'm still not sure whether I can trust it, surly it's pretty easy to fake a few competition winners? and I'm struggling to find much else about it.

So has anyone ever heard of this site? used this site? or been scammed by this site? I'd really like to know as I still think it would be a nice gift even though I accept what she would win would be all down to luck and therefore it may be nothing.

Many thanks for your time and all feedback welcome. Sorry can't post links, it's because I'm new :(

Just a heads up for anyone with an android handset who goes in for hourly/daily text comps...

There's a freebie app on the android market place called Future Text, very handy to send coke codes in when you're still asleep or send Morrison texts every day so you don't forget...

I'd say it's a waste of time.A lot of promotors will not allow others to enter on your behalf.Just follow the comp links on here.

Is there a problem? some comps are not being moved to GAME OVER there are 1000's of comps from 25/11 24/11 23/11 22/11 12/11 11/11 10/11 and there maybe even more on the main board

I don't have time to do a full search so this may only be the tip of the iceberg :(

these are some that I have come across and there are far to many to PM to a BG ;)

I have had an email from besttrainfares.info. The heading of the email was "Competition news: Good news for you..."

On opening the email, they have sent it to loads of people and not used BCC, so I can see loads of other peoples email addresses and they in turn can see mine. I think they should have headed it up "Bad news for you....."

Has anyone else had this email? I'm in two minds whether to reply to them and have a go at them or whether to not bother.

I got the same email but the only email address in the "To" area was "competition@besttrainfares.info" so it sounds like they did the first 20 or so wrong and realised before they sent the rest.

I don't think what happened will increase how much SPAM you get. After all, I doubt that you're planning to SPAM other competition entrants and you can block or unsubscribe from emails you don't want unlike with annoying unsolicited phone calls.
