  • ;)Hi Meenie

Thought I'd pop by and say hello. You're diary is an inspiration and you've given me so many ideas. I never get the time for daily clicks, but do the free bingo etc. My hubby laughs when I get excited about finding a penny, but it's nice to know I'm not alone. Well done on your overpayments! x

Well I have failed miserably and not managing to get much done on the list. Oh well............

I did look at remortaging yesterday as our fix has ended. I was going to wait until feb until we had money saved for the arrangement fee, but I thinough no harm in looking.

I found a fab remortgage deal on RBS. Its 2 year fixed 2.5% and they give you £250 cashback when the funds are released and no arrangement or legal fees.

I am going to apply for it tomorrow, the £250 will pay for the rest of the bathroom and will go toward the £1000 we need for the next project, under stair storage and new TV cabinet.
    s
The new interest rate shave 10 months of the original term and we will have more spare funds to overpay and save

I also opened one of those halifax rewards accounts yesterday through top cashback, so I get £50 cashback and £5 per month, just have to remember to move money about

Wont get much done off the list today as DH wants to take me out for lunch and who am i to argue????

  • well done on the new mortgage rate! sounds like a great deal :)
sorry youre feeling poorly-probably best you dont push yourself , maybe do the things you can do sitting down in front of the telly (like the lists! ;))
    enjoy your lunch out!
I hear you on already thinking about the next years targets - I find myself wishing the years (ie the mortgage) away!

Well I have had to succumb to the infection and am off work for a few days, drs orders. So wont manage to do much at all.

I have a few days off at the end of next week so eveything will have to wait til then,

I did apply for that new mortgage and we were accepted in principal. Just have to complete all the paperwork......

I reduced the term by 11 months, too chicken to do any less than that. We will have more left over for overpayments.

I also moved the mortgage protection and life cover over saving £10 a month. This did highlight how under covered we are and I am taking out a seperate life policy with Virgin. Its £5 per month and I will get £50 through topcashback and a £50 marks and spencers voucher.

I also opened a new savings account for myself and it has 1% bonus for the first year.

Right I will mooch about here for a bit and then its back to the couch I go....

Oh top cashback paid 85p into my bank account this morning:T
