OOO played with a dummy N8 today at bestbuy, spoke to the fella there and it appears that there was a total recall of the phone because of operating system problems, that have hopefully been sorted out.

anyone who has got one, any chance you can upload a photo taken with the camera to let us see how good it is?

a recall of a phone that only left the factory on thursday? did you ask him how that works?
phone salesmen are renowned for knowing absolute nothing about what they're selling!!

Me and me wife are on three, I was on Pay-as-u-go, now on contract : 500 MB internet, 300 min any network calls, any three to three number for free, plus skype is free,free Nokia E63 (gifted to mom) all for 13 Quid(2-3 months back).
Free Skype with Nokia's mutitasking feature is a killer combination for overseas contacts. I am reachable to all my friends whenever they want to talk (very important for me :cool:). Needless to say, much as I was tempted to buy iphone 3, Nokia's muti-tasking feature and the price were the main reason for choosing 5800.
When I learned, I could load Garmin (with Google search feature),on 5800 I was extreamly overjoyed !! :T
Now waiting for the free N8 .......I hope I get it tomorrow as I got my shipment email on Friday....

Come on folks I am getting lonely here with my new phone.
There is an error on the phone with the radio, if you try to scan again while listening to a station it freezes then re sets / reboots.
Apart from that its a great bit of kit. (sorry still can't post a piccy)
Why is the nokia pc suite so crap? The music screen is fun and has a very fast response time when you spin the pictures.
My only othergripe is I have it set at large text and in messages the text is still quite small. I need my specs where as before on the n97 I did not. its annoying............................

I'm not sure if you're being literal, but are you actually using PC Suite? I think support for it has been discontinued, you need to download Ovi Suite instead.

I am in your club now:rotfl: ........ Just got a call from home that it has been delivered. Will get my hands on it in luch hour.:D...The colour is black ( and I really wanted black)...I guess it must be more suitable for first batch of mass production. Nokia must be keeping other colours for Marketing gimmics.

Im I still one of the only people on here that has only ever had the text from Neilson!! im addicted to checking my emails and this forum, I think im going to go insain, I bet im the last person to get it or im gonna end up without.

Im also grumpy as it took me over an hour to get in on the train this mornig :mad:
