    hello

haven't posted for ages (or updated my total for a while - most of the money's nonexistant now though:()

    sorry

my mum's been in and out of hospital & I've been waiting (and waiting) to hear about a work placement I'm been promised with the local council. Finally had an interview, the placement should've started this month once they'd moved offices.
just got to wait for them to actually blooming move.

Briefly kidnapped/visited by the selling fairy last week, sold two cds on amazon and had a sale on fiverr & got rid off some things on swapit.

Got a bargain on there - a copy of Avatar (nearly new) for only 500 points. Nobody else had bid on it 'cos it looked a bit dodgy, name sounded like a spoof and it'd been listed as Avatar - the one with the blue people :D

Tried selling an ipod speaker dock to cex, got it back in the post today, They're claiming the remote's broken & the up & down buttons stick - the remote still had the protective plastic on *facepalm*

haven't managed to find the 'ville,
can somebody lend me a map before all the dribble leaves here for good?

looks like all the 'moral outraged' prudes from discussion time have won re Amber's thread

    Evening everyone.

Hope everyone is good, not had a chance to read back.

Thats me managed to hit the 6k mark in my savings account so I'm quite chuffed. Don't think that i'll get much hugher what with Xmas and all that but meh I'm still chuffed. I do hope that we're carrying on this challenge next year??

Been AWOL for a while, had a little accident in my 2nd job with resulted in a concussion and this is me just getting recovered. Still having headaches but its so much better now. AND (oops starting a sentence with a pivitol word) I've been referred to a dermatologist for my acne - woohoo. Might take a few months to get an appointment but I might get half decent looking skin soon!!!!

    Hey Nikki,
well done on the 6k. wow.
Don't forget even if you make extra money but end up spending it it still counts because its over and above any money you would have had if you didn't do the challenge.
Ow for the concussion and hope you are fully recovered as it can be horrible.
Great news about the dermatologist. How did you find the snail gel in the end?

    Hiya

I have kept going with my open to make a few pounds wherever and am managing to bring in a few extra here and there - my big breakthrough has been realizing that if we can live on hubbys cash wages we could save lots quickly - and we have been ,which has made a huge change for us :)
    I am journeying to a debt-free life.

Hi Jane I do remember you and thats a fantastic approach. you would have to earn a fair bit more than £50 to come out with £50 after tax and expenses etc whereas a saving of £50 gives you an extra £50. So looking for cuts and savings is a great way to put extra money in your pocket.
