Sophia is 5 next week and William has just turned 2 in August :) Sophia was so funny - doing her usual trick today - she started drawing/writing secrets in her book in WHSmith today and when we got home she showed me the pictures of the cards she copied - because she wanted me to see how lovely they were but she knows we can't afford them because they are too expensive - OMG!!!!

DS is a little young to get the whole present thing yet - will be interesting as he is very bad at sharing and gets quite violent!!

It will be nice - but we've not been able to get the kids that much - William won't care, but Sophia is really into Santa this year - I don't want to get her loads of stuff, but she's been desperate for a barbie wardrobe (for her barbie's clothes) and I've not been able to find one. Have bid for one on Ebay, but that won't get here in time - bah!!

  • Well, my pay went in today (nice to get it early but makes it a long time until the end of January  ) so I've just done my credit card payment to send off so I don't spend all of my pay first!

Updated total for end of December

    Marbles Card: £2,000

    Total £2,000
    Total reduced in December: £1,100
Total reduced since LB moment (August 2006) : £25,974.60
Total reduced since debt at highest (January 2006): £27,882.60
Target for end of December - £2100 - Blimey! Achieved for the first time in months!
Target for the end of January - hmm...tricky as I don't know how much I'll be paid. Let's aim for £1,400

It would have been nice to have paid off a tiny bit more and got below the £2000 mark but our wages are going to be a little bit erratic over then next few weeks - don't know how much we will get paid but it will definitely be a good bit less than usual.

Didn't keep the spending diary up this month (slaps hand!) but will be beginning again in January and we definitely need to tighten our belts a bit (well, once I've been sales shopping, that is!)
  • Off to my friends to take their Christmas presents then got a few cards to deliver. Afternoon will be spent having a general tidy up and going to my mother's tonight to plate up 260 plates of food for tomorrow's Santa Express.

Will take a bit longer this week as her partner won't be there to help and OH is not sure whether he will be finished work tonight or tomorrow am. At least once he gets finished that's it until January. He's never had the whole Christmas period off before - will be very strange!

DS also breaks up from school today so I suppose Christmas starts tonight - will have to send OH to retrieve the hidden chocolate tins from his Grandma's house!

Apparently my Dad will be calling this afternoon with the kid's Christmas present. Am wondering if I can get away with either being out, or upstairs having a lie down - not sure my Dad is the best person to deal with when blood pressure is high to start with!!

 Don't tighten your belt too much...we don't want an early appearance from young Master Choca! :rotfl:

When is your due date? I hate to say it but I think you really have been pregnant forever! :D

Hope you manage to avoid the visit from your Dad. Is there anyone else at home with you who could answer the door and say you are in bed?

  • Lol, the due date is 27th january. I don't feel like it's been that long (but at the same time, I feel as if I've always been pregnant!). It probably feels like ages on here as I announced it to you fine people straight away - not many people in real life knew until about 20 weeks so they keep saying how fast it's gone.

Actually thinking about it - not sure I would even have a belt that would meet around my waist never mind tighten!!

  • :santa2: Hi Pania!

Well, we're all off in different directions today. DS is going bowling with friends, DD is off to a kids' Christmas party with my Mam and OH and I are off to Middlesbrough for 4d baby scan and maybe a little bit of browsing the shops.

260 more plates of food to plate up for the Santa Express tonight. Will be doing it while watching the Strictly Come Dancing Final (Go Alisha!!) so hopefully the time will go more quickly. It's like a production line in a factory- even the kids are helping, bless them!
