Just gorgeous :) Amazing! But (not meant in any way against your little stunner) it's a little strange isn't it?!! :Being able to take photos like that then when they're inside you!! Freaked me out enough with the moving!!!:D

    Sea xxx

No offence taken. My Mam calls it weird and creepy - just say what you mean there, mother!

Panda, I'm not sure abut the hair. The sonographer said he had hair but I think that's just shadow on the photo. Will admit that I'll be surprised if he has black hair after a blonde and a ginger but then apparently my sister was born with masses o9f sticky out black hair - like a sweep's brush my Mam says.

We got ours done at a clinic in Middlesbrough but they only seem to have one location. They are available at lots of places though. I googled 4d scan and north east but you could ask on the pregnancy board. I think prices start at £80 depending upon what you want.

Hypno, my friend showed her hubby too and as she was getting the photo out he went "No, no, no, I can't understand scan pfhotos" then he saw it and went "Wow, I can understamd that one!"

It is kind of odd to think that we'll be able to show him pictures and a DVD of his scan in years to come though. Adds a whole new embarrassment factor to showing baby pics to future girlfriends... "and this is him in my uturus!!!"

Just shown them to a friend at work who also thought they were creepy! Maybe it's just those of us with some sort of current maternal connection that find it absolutely fascinating, and in another 5 years we'll all go 'eurggh'!
But I still absolutely love it! Must get one!
  • Oooh, you scared me there, creeping on while I was updating that last post!

I think it's something you either like or don't. I think I probably wouldn't find other people's pics as fascinating as my own, but my best friend loves them and was almost more excited than me!
  • Well, OH and DS have popped shopping (typical men leaving it until Christmas Eve) and DD has gone along just in case she misses anything.

Not got loads to do today, lots of relaxing into Chritmas and watching Christmas films, hopefully, though I do want a quick vacuum round, change the beds, clean the bathroom, swish and swipe kitchen, 4 presents to collect and wrap, Christmas cake to collect and OH's Grandma's present to drop off. There might also be some food deliveries to do for my Mam (she does catering from home and has lots of orders for today, despite saying she wasn't taking any for Christmas Eve).

Santa is supposed to be phoning DD at 1.30. Looking forward to seeing how that goes though I expect she'll get tongue tied on the phone.

Other than that, just catching up here. There seems to be lots of updating of diaries going on -I haven't left my subscriptions page yet!

Hope everyone is having a great day. Oh, and
    :xmastree: Happy Christmas!! :xmastree:

  • Hi lunar, hypno and cath. I haven't been on much, partly because OH is off work and partly because I haven't been feeling 100% over Christmas.

Went to see midwife yesterday as have had rotten headaches all over Christmas. She said blood pressure is creeping up and hands and feet are swelled but nothing to worry about just at the moment. She felt baby and said he's definitely breech. She said is he still is on Thursday when I have my next appointment she will make a scan appointment to see what's happening and we will have to choose between manually turning him, going ahead with normal birth in breech postion (my least fave option - it was hard enough with babies the right way round!) or elective cs.

Ironically I've woken up today and feel better than I have for days. My headache is not nearly so bad and the midwife said I can take paracetamol if I need to (though I took two last night and I suspect they were a placebo as they did nothing whatsoever!)

Did manage to get out to the Next sale, and even better spent less than usual. I was looking for clothes for DD and DS. DD did well but there was hardly anything for DD.

    Spent £160 and got
    • lovely gift set for best friend's Christmas
    • gift set for sister's birthday
    • female gift set for holiday hamper we're going to make for OH's dad and stepmam who have 4+ holidays a year
    • male gift set for above
    • male travel gift set to put away for OH next year
    • 2 T-shirts for DS
    • top for DD's friend's birthday
    • coat for DD next year
    • 3 pack boxer shorts for DS
    • 3 pack boxer shorts for OH
    • 5 pairs of jeans (DD)
    • 2 pairs tracksuit bottoms (DD)
    • 1 pair cord trousers (DD)
    • zip up jacket (DD)
    • 15 tops (DD)
    • tunic and leggings set (DD)
    • tights (DD)
All DD's clothes are in next year's size as she has plenty for now so I wouldn't think she really needs much more for next winter.

Also I got a few bits and pieces for birthdays and Christmas in the Boots online sale. I'm not planning on buying a lot of sales stuff this year for the kids, firstly because it then has to be stored, secondly because all the shops seemed to have good offers in the run up to Christmas this year anyway and thirdly because what I buy is never what they ask for, so the just end up with extra presents. Going to focus on saving vouchers / money with the Christmas Challenge and do the shopping nearer Christmas - see how that works.

Not planning on going far today. Hoping headache stays away so we can ventuure into the attic and get that sorted while OH is around to help. If you don't hear from me for a few days, call a rescue squad -we may be lost up there!

Hi Choco, I hope you are feeling better soon, and that the blood pressure etc doesn't prove to be a problem.

When DS was breech I was offered a cs and took it - I would not have opted for one as part of the "too posh to push" brigade but as there were complications I would have not done it any other way. Also, bonus, it meant I had an alloted time slot, so could arrange OH off work and childcare for DD!!!! Plus, no midnight dash to the hospital or trying to work out if the contractions are close enough together yet!!

I did ask for a tummy tuck as they stitched me back together.......but sadly it was not to be!!
