  • Hi, MWM! Think I've seen you on the flylady threads. Mind you, with 3 under 5's I'm not sure how you find the time! I needed to have BIG breaks between my children - DD put me off having any more for 9 years!

Chocaholic - you are a superstar! I have no idea how you manage to accomplish so much, especially at your current stage of pg!! I still have those clothes to send you - and I will - trying to find something to post them in. Do you think a few bin bags wrapped round them will be acceptable to the PO? (it's not enough to fill a bin bag btw, but more than a jiffy bag's worth lol!)

  • I quite regularly send ebay stuff wrapped in binbags - never had any complaints. Don't worry about sending them any time soon thugh - I'm sure you have enough to be doing at the moment.

Glad I assigned today as a not doing much day - everything aches, ouch! I really fancy a long, hot bath but you can guarantee the Sky man will arrive the second I try to! Have pushed the hoover round downstairs and put sme washing in but that's about it. OH got some presents from his Grandma's last night, so will wrap some of those this afternoon. It's DD's last day at school today so really want them wrapped while she's out of the way. DS is gutted as he doesn't break up until Friday!

Little bit of excitement today - the Free Christmas Challenge is apparently in Martin's newsletter. Haven't looked yet but went to add some new names and the little banner was on the bottom of the post! How exciting to get recognition from on high! Off to read the email now!

Congrats on getting in the e-mail :money:

I hope your aches ease soon and that you manage to get that soothing bath without Sky man interrupting!

  • Sky man has been and now have shiny new box and remote control (nice as our was on it's last legs!). Still don't have BBC1 though and that was one of the reasons he was coming out. Oh, well, it didn't cost anything and we can always keep watching it on BBC Channel islands!!

Think will have that long hot bath now. I would think I can get out of it by the time the Asda man is due (from 2pm onwards) unless I get stuck! (which isn't beyond the realms of possibility at the moment!)
  • Had a lovely long bath and a shower! Feel much less achey now. The Asda man has yet to deliver the shopping so he was spared the horror of me answering the door in only a towel.

Have finished wrapping all kids' presents except for four that OH left at his Grandma's until Christmas Eve as they're a bit bulky. Won't know what to do with myself Christmas Eve without having to stay up until 2 in the mrning to wrap presents. bet it means I don't sleep as I won't be exhausted and I'll be too excited (more excited than DS and DD, as usual!!)
  • Back from the clinic. My blood pressure has gone up again so she said to be watchful for headaches or disturbed vision. Then again, it could just have been the long hot bath! Baby is still not in a position to be born but the midwife's not worried about that, though she says she wil be if he hasn't got himself organised by the time I go back in two weeks.

Cheating by having pizza for tea, then DD is going to the Christmas party at her youth club - she has a far better social life than I do!
  • Took DD shopping today as she wanted to buy her Christmas presents for everyone. Really enjoyed it but I'm completely shattered. Had to persuade DD not to spend all her money on everyone else only for her to say "I thought it was better to give than receive". Well that's me told! I countered that though with "Well, it's the thought that counts!" and we had a bit of a lesson in shopping around - her Dad really likes after eights so she wanted to get him a bag of the after eight wrapped sweets which were £2 in Boots, £1.49 in Woolies but only £1 in Poundland - same bags! Hopefully she's learned something today!

Also my Mum asked me to get a copy of the new Amy MacDonald CD. It was in HMV chart for £12.95 and similar prices everywhere else :( Admitting defeat I went back into HMV to find another shelf selling it on 2 CD's for £10 - it was cheaper to buy that and another CD than to buy it alone!

Also got more good deals in Boots. Had a parenting voucher giving half price of baby expert and maternity expert products - they were also buy one get one half price. When I bought two items it put them through first at half price then took half off the second item but at the original price - therefore taking off the rest of the amount - so I paid half price for the first item and they paid me 1p to take the second one! The girl on the till looked stunned and when I said I had another voucher she advised me to come back and use it again - but buy lots more items!! Maybe I will at Middlesbrough at the weekend when i go for baby scan.

Didn't have much luck finding anywhere to take Accor luncheon vouchers though -think will just ebay them after Christmas.

That's great about the boots products! :D Love a good bargain!

Your DD sounds so sweet. Sophia surprised me yesterday- she said she wanted to give our childminder a little box she'd made at school - with Baby Jesus in it - because she does sch a good job of looking after her brother. Bless!!

Aww...kids can be lovely, can't they? I keep meaning to ask - how old are your two?

DD has always wanted to give gifts to others, even when she was tiny she would find something of hers and wrap it for her cousin of the same age. DS couldn't care less! He has bought a present for OH but got DD to wrap it - typical man - obviously starting as he means to go on.
