I'm quite good at writing lists lunar, not so good at following them! Plus you need to make the most of this next few weeks. It might be a while before you have time to yourself again. Did some of the stuff I wanted to do yesterday and partially sorted out the clothes but still a long way to go and my huge pile of washing has turned into a huge pile of ironing.

Very grumpy today as Tom has been awake most of the night. He keeps smiling at me this morning though so it's hard to be annoyed with him. He's a very charming, naughty boy!!

Not go a lot planned for today. My mam wants me to go shopping for her but has offered to mind Tom while I go then we're going to visit a friend who has a baby more or less exactly the same age (We actually met on the MSE Pregnancy Board as we both had the same due date). So won't get much done in the house today. OH not home tonight...again! Can't wait until he's off next week (for someone to share the responsibility of Tom as much as anything - is that terrible??)

No, absolutely no tterrible at all! We play a bit of a game with each other called 'fob off the baby and then run away' - you can guess the general objective of it!

You did quite well with yesterday's list all things considered. I'm just off to update mine - a complete washout!:o

Lol, I think I play that a little bit myself. I just asked DS to watch him while I popped in the bath. I've had my bath and sneaked in here for a couple of minutes. Can hear him complaining now though so best be off.
  • Well, I wrote a super-duper long post about a week ago and the computer turned itself off just as I was about to post!

    So here goes again!

Had a nice week with OH being off work. We didn't go far except for Alton towers, which was the nicest theme park I've been to in England and I was quite impressed we didn't have to queue much fir the rides. On the down side the weather wasn't THAT good and it was a lot of travelling. I had suggested we stay overnight and have two days there but OH didn't agree...until the time came to set off home when he said "We should have stayed overnight and come back tomorrow"...typical! I think we will probably go back next year and do that as there's too much to see in one day.

OH back at work now and typically Tom chose that time to become ill. he's been totally unlike himself all week - miserable and lethargic, not at all like the usual boisterous, bouncy, Tigger-like child we have. He's also been really hot and whingy. Took him to the GP on Friday who decided he had cold. Friday night he came out in a huge rash, which luckily disappeared when poked and prodded. Phoned the urgent care centre at the hospital saturday am and they said to bring him down. Turns out he has german measles (rubella) which all the books say doesn't make children ill but I beg to differ!!

Anyway, back to school myself on Thursday. (though I also need to go in and do preparation Monday and Tuesday) I'm not actually supposed to work Thursday and Friday but it is training days and I'm expected to attend  Finding it very hard to find sympathy about that from friends and family though as I've been off for almost a year and will only be working 3 days a week.

Really must get into a more MSE-frame of mind as well. Our credit card is beginning to creep up again, obviously not to the levels we once owed but I'm worried that will be the next step. Now that my pay is going back to, well not normal as I'm part time, but better than maternity pay levels we need to crack on and get rid of it again. Got £231 received in Quidco (holiday deposit and energy company switch) so that will all go towards paying it. I also have a couple of cashback daily click sites nearing payout level so must motivate myself and do the bloomin' things.

Aw, poor Tom. I don't know much about ruebella but it doesn't sound too pleasant. Anything German and measly can't be good.

I'll sympathise with you having to go to work on your days off - I was the same. I took loads of gash days off when I was meant to be at work, and get away early by a couple of hours most days, but when I've got to go in for an hour on a day off for something, all hell breaks loose :D . Don't work too hard!

 to the credit card. Hope you can get that paid straight back off as soon as you start earning properly again. You don't want to have to take the 'debt free' bit out your sig - use that as motivation!

Lol, I already did - it didn't feel right! Hopefully it won't take too long to get rid of again and Christmas should be more or less covered I think so hopefully no big spends there. Got plenty of stuff to ebay as well if I could get round to it.
  • Well, it's the first day off after going back to work Monday last week. Did a full week last week but only three days this week. Feels funny being off and I fel like I should be doing something with my time but have spent the morning playing with Tom and reading threads on here.

I'm really tired as Tom's sleeping patterns have gone haywire since I went back to work. He's still going to sleep ok on an evening but is waking up during the night wanting to play or feed - not sure if he's compensating for me not being there during the day. The knock-on effect from that is that he's really grumpy during the day as well.

My new class are really nice but moving to reception is going to be challenging, I think. Glad I decided to go back part-time but I might not think that on payday.

Bit worried that my computer is on it's last legs - it's misbehaving and keeps turning off. I think I might have to look into getting a laptop. Anyone know of any good deals?

    HIya;

    Hope TOm is better now.

I'm looking at a Laptop and I think there was mention of one on Martin's Email - for some reason I don't get the email until really late in teh day.
  • Thanks for that. I read the email but somehow managed to completely ignore that bit.
