When your whinger goes to school, end of term reports will say things like "always has something to contribute in class".........:rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I know EXACTLY what you mean. Was out with 6 other mums the other day and I was the only one with a whinger. Supposedly it's a sign of intelligence. Hmmm...if he was that intelligent he'd realise he's driving me up the wall!
Lol, that's exactly what my health visitor said. Direct quote "Usually the whingy, demanding babies turn out to be the more intelligent children"
Ok, that'll be great when he starts school but no good to me now!!0 -
Yeah, right now I'd quite happily settle for a thicko!!!0

Hi chocaholic, I think we have all had a break from our diaries recently, i really need to stick with mine as i slip every time i dont post for a couple of days!
I cant believe how much you have saved for christmas so far, i have managed to pick up quite a bit in the sales. I want to try have everything done before the baby is born this year. I know it will mean nothing to him the age he will be but im so excited for christmas with a child. i think it used to be a landmark, spending another christmas without children in the house.

I know exactly what you mean lunar. Christmas is waaaay better with children.
Christening went really well. the service was a lovely child-friendly one and it was great afterwards to see lots of family I hadn't seen for a while. Everyone was really generous; Tom is a very rich little man!
Been shopping today and what a HUGE liar I am. After saying I wasn't going to spend my vouchers guess what I did?
I got:
Winnie The Pooh stroller bar (£14.99 reduced to £2.99)
Lil Luvables refill (£14.99 reduced to £4.99)
Hot Wheels thingummy (£19.99 reduced to £4.99)
All paid with Nectar points
Baby book £11.99 paid with WH Smiths points
Children's laptop for age 5+ (£29.99 reduced to £8)
Children's laptop for 10+ (£89.99 reduiced to £29.99)
Fisherprice bath set (£15.99 reduced to £7.99)
Harry Potter 20Q (on DD's Christmas list and £15 reduced to £7.50)
All paid with Argos vouchers from surveys
Went home laden with stuff and only spent 90p in real money (parking fees). VERY happy! I now need to update my Christmas totals but not today.
I also need to catch up on loads of diaries. I've been relying on keeping up by looking at subscriptions on User Profile but so many people seem to have started new diaries and I've missed them, grr! Now in some cases I have loads to read!0 -
Here are some of the latest-ish pictures of Tom as requested. I imagine he's grown somewhat since the last ones as he now weighs over 14lb!
I know it looks like it from the pictures but we don't honestly spend all our time dressing him up for our amusement...ok, well a little bit we do!0 -
Aw, he's sooooo cute! And he looks so grown up in the 4th picture! We've both got matching Bumbos - Greg can nearly get out of ours now which is a major bummer, I used to dump Adam in it for ages! That was some good spending yesterday, and I'm glad that the Christening all went well. How's things with the family these days?0

Yay! Tom can now clap. He started last night and has been doing it loads this morning. He looks ever so pleased with himself when he does it. DD is now trying to learn him to wave as well - keeps them both out of mischief i suppose!
Also, talking of Bumbos - Tom fell out of his last night. He straightened his whole body and pushed and fell forward out of it. he was ok but gave himself a bit of a fright. Means I can't be as complacent about putting him in it though -I thought they weren't supposed to be able to escape.
Plans for today - not a lot. Not going far - planning for a No spend Day. OH is off work next week and will be going places so need to not spend much at all this week. I would like to be able to do some housework but we will see...
Ideal Plan- Vacuum living room, stairs and kitchen
- Tackle the ever-growing pile of washing that is threaten to take over the bathroom
- Wash down cupboard fronts
- Dust living room
- Also the piles of clothes are still all over my bedroom. It looks like a jumble sale so really must try to get onto it
- Post ebay item
- Fill out and post bank account form
- List two ebay items
