Goodness, I knew I hadn't been on here as much lately but didn't realise it was two months since I last posted on here. I do keep meaning to post but something (usually Tom-related!!) always crops up before I can manage it.

I should really start hanging out here more though as my good spending habits are falling apart, spending diary is gone, budget is gone, no clear idea of incomings and outgoings and keep buying things we don't really need. MUST get more organised or it will be back to step one!

Talking of organised, I must also start doing something with the house as the clutter (mostly Tom-related again!) has begun to creep back. I despair of ever selling the house so really we should make the most of where we are.

Went back to work just before the schools broke up - only for 8 days but what a difference to my pay in July and August. Starting back in September at three days a week - doesn't sound much but starting to panic about finding time for planning. Oh and I'm with the little ones - Reception to year 2 so ages 4-7. they're really cute but it means a huge, HUGE spread of ability. Scary just thinking about the planning.

Tom's being christened at the weekend. Hopefully will find something to wear before then otherwise will give everyone a very unpleasant surprise. Also must remember to phone the vicar before then.

Must, MUST become more organised - will try to find time tomorrow to seek out the flylady thread then maybe start cracking the whip with the family. I will ince again have an organised life!

    Hi, both of you.

Weather rubbish today and have to stay in for a delivery anyway. Plans for the day are
    • do daily clicks (have woefully lost my way with these lately)
    • sort out all the piles of clothes in my bedroom (mostly Tom's - some that fit, some that don't!!)
    • Vacuum main bedroom thouroughly rather than quick run over - I dread to think how much dust is under the bed
    • make cakes with DS for sleepover party tomorrow (not at my house, thankfully!)
    • watch Harry Potter DVD and send it back
Not too arduous a day really but hopefully will get it all done.

Sounds like quite a nice day!! :) Apart from the clothes sorting- I seem to have piles all over the house that are growing!

Wow at your savings for Christmas btw - you started spending the vouchers yet? :)

Ok, so you're really putting me to shame. You mean dust can get under stuff and we're supposed to clean it? Oh.

I know exactly how you feel - it's been weeks/months since I last posted here too. It's as though Greg has an MSE sensor built in, and he starts screaming before I can even log in. The money thing isn't good at the moment and I really need to re-motivate myself, it's just so difficult with a whinging baby.

Any new pics of Tom? I need to find my diary (probably in page 1,000 and something) and stick some photos on it, however because that's something I need to do at home it might take me another few months! Hopefully there'll be some of the chocas at the Christening (another thing you're shaming me with - I still haven't had Adam done, never mind Greg :o ). Really hope you get a lovely weekend for it - we've got a gorgeous clear sunrise this morning so I'll keep my fingers crossed, hope you have a great day.

lol, well I still haven't done the bedroom. Of all my tasks the other day I managed the nice ones - making cakes and watching DVDs - very naughty!!

Strangely, we're managing to get Tom christened earlier than the other two. DD was 10 months and DS was five years as he was christened the same time as DD. (If we'd considered having Tom earlier we might have made them all wait until now - imagine how embarrassed DS would be aged 14!!). Hopefully it will be a nice day and we will get to see lots of family we don'r see that often so looking forward to that.

Sea, no I haven't spent any vouchers yet. They're pretty much for getting pressies for the kids (and my Mam) as most other people are sorted but I'm going to hold off this year as last year I bought most of their stuff only for Argos to reduce several brands of toys a week to half price in the weeks before Christmas. So I plan to wait and see (if I can as I'm a bit too control freak-ish to do my Christmas shopping in December)

Not a very exciting day today. Got to collect the meat from the butcher's shop for the christening tomorrow and drop it off at my Mam's so she can make pies and quiches, DD has won a reading competition run by the library so we need to collect that, then a trip to Tesco is on the card (yawn!) - trying to save clubcard points for a holiday in 2010 - apparently it is do-able but we shall see!! Then I MUST sort the clothes and bedroom. Panda, I know dust collects under the bed as we have wooden floors and when the windows are open it blows out like a disgusting tumbleweed, yeuch!

Panda, I like your signature. I'm glad I know someone else who admits to having a whinging baby as everyone else I know only has lovely, calm, peaceful babies and I'm beginning to doubt my parenting skills!!!

I know EXACTLY what you mean. Was out with 6 other mums the other day and I was the only one with a whinger. Supposedly it's a sign of intelligence. Hmmm...if he was that intelligent he'd realise he's driving me up the wall!
