Lou, my parents did that with some money my grandma gave them for my sister. She was born after my grandad died so it was to match what I'd been left. They decided to buy a three piece suite instead. But when she reached 18 dad gave her the money out of his savings. It could very well be a partay Spud, altough its a bit embarrasing throwing a party for graduating at my age:o
I will be 40 the following year though:)
Don't be daft, it's a bigger deal graduating at 'your age' cos it means you wanted to do it, rather than being 21 and just falling into it without a future in mind.
I keep looking at places I could have a 30th party in Jan, but I'm too scared no one would turn up!redsquirrel80 wrote: »Know the feeling Luc - I got Shapers pasta salad from Boots, come back into office to find someone eating a Greggs pie
I do have wasabi almonds though
Trying to sort out a new mobile contract but T Mobile are driving me mad.
Mmm wasabi almonds sound gorgeous, where did you get them from?redsquirrel80 wrote: »Right on with the positive things..
5) Arranged to have lunch with my mentor at work (not really work related as we just end up talking about gardening and hillwalking and stuff)

I need some opinions. I've decided I want to do an online course to get me back into studying Philosophy so I can at some point finish my degree in it. It's £180 which I'm not entirely sure if I have spare this month or not. I want to get signed up as soon as possible to get a place. Sooo I'm thinking about borrowing the £180 from the account where I've been paying off the overdraft to get the course sorted, and then paying that back in as soon as I can - shouldn't be too long doing that, but it feels a bit wrong when I've been working towards paying it off
Any thoughts?
Sounds good to me, it's the sort of thing that credit's there for. Some things are more important than money, and something like this is an investment, not a frivolous spend.
This weather's doing my head in, I was freezing so I got out my slanket alike, but now I'm too hot. I wish it'd make it's mind up.
Right, off to finish catching up with the thread.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
I've had a lovely day with both daughters and both grandsons. Were joined by DD2's MIL who is down from Hull to stay with them for the weekend. We shared a bottle of wine (mine), and they have now gone home to eat the bolognaise the MIL has provided accompanied by the pasta and garlic bread 'borrowed' off me. I now have no wine or dinner!
Never mind, lovely day and I will see them all again on Sunday when I cook them Sunday dinner. :rotfl:0 -

Thanks Elfen xx
Ames I am sure that there would be plenty of people who would come to your party lovely. If there is a dance floor and wine flowing then I will be there:dance:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
I used to have that problem with powder marks on clothes, I started using liquitabs and it's been fine. Plus you don't need fabric conditioner so it work out a bit cheaper.
Lou, if I had a party there'd definitely be a dancefloor! and a live band. Hmm, I might look into it.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
