I ordered samples too and was really pleased I did as it was impossible to see the real colour on the computer. Had a phone call to say that my fabric will be coming as one piece but my neighbour's will be in two almost equal lengths. Asked her how long it will take to come and the holdup is that they can only put so many orders on the delivery lorries each day. I'm not in a rush, though am looking forward very much to making the curtains!
  • Thanks sistercas and Picasso7, just hop the offer is stil on by the time I get them:)
  • Not much of a one for doing things like this, but I need a 108" x 100"drop set of curtains.

If I am buying in metres from these guys, is that squared? Or a standard drop? or what?

    Any advice gratefully received.

    It's by length. And it's 54" wide.

Sadly, I got an email to say the one I wanted was sold out.

The website has gone down now. Says they have had an unprecedented amount of orders and sample requests, so have taken the site down until they have cleared the backlog.
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment
  • Due to an unexpected amount of traffic from the MSE weekly email, Plumbs has had to take down its site for the next day or so in order to catch up with all the requests it has received.

It has apologised for the inconvenience and has said anyone who needs to contact them should call 0800 021 7829.

Finally managed to get my Visa Debit order through online - #3 son want's black, so i've ordered 'coal' - a pewter grey - 8 metres (he's got very wide windows which are quite shallow, so I'm hoping to use the 54" width as the 'drop' if you understand what I mean).
My order arrived today. Very pleased with it. Just off to order some more material for the front room. :T

    Or perhaps not :(
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

My fabric came and was fine, but the two lengths for my neighbour were actually two different shades! I e-mailed yesterday evening and have been out all day so if they phoned, they didn't get me. Will phone them tomorrow and see what they say.
  • Plumbs have stopped sending out fabric samples...can anyone oblige please?
I am looking for a sample of Dolce vita which has a cream background with a black fern like leaf running vertically up it, Sienna charcoal which is black background with cream squares on it, and belagio grape..which is a grape colour!
    Many thanks!
