Use it to make nan breads, wheaten bread, scones, etc and freeze them for later use?
You could also use it in a beef casserole for a beef strognoff effect0 -
well, I'd just eat it with fruit and honey or make raita with it. It'll be pretty obvious if it is off.
You can use it in American style pancakes, muffins or scones. google 'yogurt cake' and you'll find plenty of recipes.
One of the reasons I love making my own yogurt (and bread, cakes, jams etc) is that there are no flipping dates to worry about. I can decide for myself when a food is not fit to eat;)0 -

It's infuriating that I can only buy HUGE pots of Greek yoghurt in my weekly shop, which means that at least a third of it usually ends up going to waste.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do with the leftovers?
Thanks
P.S. I have already made tzatziki twice this week, so I don't really want it again!
P.P.S. As it is getting to the end of my shopping week, I am also pretty much out of fruit, so pouring it over fruit is kind of out of the question!'I can't deny the British influence on my accent and mannerisms, but I don't know the British national anthem, I didn't weep for Princess Diana and I always cheer when Britain loses at sport. Hi Piggles,
There's an earlier thread with some ideas that should help so I've added your post to it to keep the suggestions together.

I have used it instead of milk / cream. It's lovely with honey as well.Divorce all finished- now to start saving for a better future!0 -
You can make a lovely creamy salad dressing (great for potato salad) by mixing equal quantities of greek yoghurt and olive oil, (eg: 100ml of each) a crushed garlic clove, half a teaspoon of smoked paprika (or one of unsmoked), salt and freshly ground pepper - whisk to make a smooth dressing or use a blender/ stick blender. Makes a nice dressing for a salad of watercress, diced avocado, chopped spring onions and warm sliced new potatoes.
Nigle Slater has a delicious recipe for chicken - marinate skinless boneless thighs in greek yoghurt mixed with olive oil and harissa + salt and pepper. Grill them (or bbq) and sprinkle chopped fresh mint on top when cooked. Nice with couscous and pine nuts or with a salad."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

of everything that comes along their way."
