When you leave Sky...?

I've just called Sky wanting to cancel my tv/broadband/phone package and they told me that I cannot use my Sky+ box to receive free-to-air channels via the dish, is this true?
No it's not true. You'll be able to watch all the Free to Air channels.
You won't be able to use any of the recording facilities on the box or watch any recordings currently on the box.
Assuming you haven't cancelled yet, pull the card out the box and you'll see what you'll be left with.
My son has our old Sky+ box in his bedroom with no subscription.Dave. :wave:0 -
Thanks for the heads up, I will try that and my contempt for Sky customer service grows....0

Another question, if I do cancel the tv, can I keep the broadband and phone?0

If you downgrade rather than threaten to cancel and get rid of Music/Movies do they treat that as canceling and offer deals to keep the package going. Was going to try it over the weekend after reading Martins tips section0

Seems to have deleted all his posts now.
Yeah.... but he was still moaning on a PM!
I don't know why people who insist on acting like a troll then get upset when you are called a troll!
And why do they come on a thread started by someone to moan about the way they were treated in other completely unrelated threads - and then accuse that someone of condoning abusive behaviour because they don't want rows from other threads carried over to theirs!
Anyway....thanks again for the responses. At the moment i have BT vision package with phone broadband and three TV packages service which is costing me pennies less than the gold service they can offer (six TV packages). The kids package has the Disney stuff they always seem to end up watching so I might see if I can swing a deal there.0
