When you leave Sky...?

I think everyone else has managed to add everything the OP has so far asked for.
Apart from you.By the way, that receiver will not work for Sky subscription channels.
Of course it won't. As the OP is thinking of leaving Sky, neither would his Sky box work for subscription channels without, strangely enough, paying a subscription to Sky.
What exactly is your point except for throwing your dummy ouit of the pram? And Sky Digital is not the same as Freesat. Just mentioning this in case 'macman' tries to argue the opposite later,
I've never seen any posy yet by macman suggesting it is.and then congratulates someone else for abusing me.
The only person doing any abusing here seems to be you.0 -
The dish and box along with all the cabling is yours. I have just recently cancelled my Sky subscription after 10 years and its the best thing I've done in a long time.
I bought a Humax PVR which is way classier than a Sky plus box and I now have Freeview and Freesat so have not missed having to deal with Sky's lack of customer service nor the £40 a month they were getting for a really poor service.0 -
Well the OP seems to think that Freeview includes subscription channels
Where exactly does the OP say anything of the sort?Pray tell, where precisely? I fail to find where you are talking about.

You whole contribution to this thread has been to make remarks about 2 other posters. Whether they are true or not, neither I nor the OP ( who has already asked you not to post unless you can assist) cares.
Don't spoil someone else's thread. Take it to pm or the mods if you have something to gripe about.0 -

The Disney channels require some sort of subscription, whether it be Sky, Virgin, or through some IPTV like TalkTalkTV.
Just pull your Sky card out the box, you'll find out easily what you're left with.Dave. :wave:0 -

Thanks for your efforts and believe me I know your hearts in the right place but I think it's just best to ignore the trolls...and in only a few hours rapido has very much given me the impression that he is nothing more than a troll. I did ask him previously to leave the thread alone but my instincts had already told me he wasn't the type to take note.
I belong to other forums which confer the ability on those setting up articles to delete comments....rest assured that if such powers were available here, his posts would disappear very quickly.
Anyway...a big thanks to all those non trolls coming on...I'm grateful for the wisdom you have shared :T0 -

Hope you get sorted out.0 -
Well I guess you made your own mind up before doing any sort of research.
The thing is, your first reply was totally unnecessary.
Why bring any sort of conflict/grudge into a new thread and it's certainly not the OP's responsiblity to go chase down any of your issues from previous threads.
Edit - seems to have deleted the post now.Dave. :wave:0 -

I've just called Sky wanting to cancel my tv/broadband/phone package and they told me that I cannot use my Sky+ box to receive free-to-air channels via the dish, is this true?0
