My car isn't so fussy on the oil so I stock up when I find decent oil cheap. Still cheaper than getting oil changed elsewhere at the above prices.
  • Castrol Magnatec is mineral oil.

In other words, cheap !!!!!. Avoid.

Not as it states in my Haynes Manual - states V6 = 4.5 litres, think I should know after owning one for 3 years!

Either you or the manual is wrong,i've owed 3 V6 lumps over the past 10yrs,each engine has taken 6.5 litres each oil change.

Looking on the web, and in fact you are wrong and so I am, and the manual.

It takes 5.5 litres and this can be confirmed here:

  • My mate went to a National garage once in view of a cheap oil & filter change. They turned him away basically saying that they make no money from it and that it's a waste of their fitters time as they could be doing more profitable sales in the time it takes. They just weren't interested.

But I suppose if you book and pay online then they can't turn you away.

So in other words, Failing to provide a service they state to offer?

Sounds about right for some big yob run business ;)

Yep, they basically gave him the brush off as they knew they had better paying customers coming along as it was a busy Saturday morning.
