I have seen how helpful Linda has been on many threads with never a thought other than to pass on info and advice to brides who are looking for help. Never in a million years could she be accused of self promoting and its a downright shame that someone's kindness could be misrepresented in such a way. It was her obvious depth of experience that prompted me to contact an independant dressmaker for my dress alterations and it has worked out tons cheaper for me rather than going through the bridal shop. Thank you Linda - you didnt even know you were helping. Barb x

Didn't want to read and run but just going to write more of the same, I really have no problem with anyone posting on the forum, I thought everyone was just helping each other, I don't think anyone should leave or pushed into leaving!

Actually, I'm quite angry about this the more I think about it. Linda could have just pretended to be someone who knew a lot about dress making and about alterations etc. But she didn't. She's been honest. And looking through her last few posts, she's mentioned a competition she's running. For a FREE dress. When people have been asking the forum to help find bridesmaid's dresses, she came up with solutions from Lipsy. If she was touting for business, she would have said "I can make one for £xx"

EXACTLY COMP if Linda was really touting for business she would be there at every opportunity which she isn't. I'm so mad about this now. Linda has been nothing but helpful to all of us how dare someone treat her like this god help them.

Only just logged on now and seen this...can't believe it!! Nothing really to add that others haven't already said but just add me to the Linda fan club So we can happily recommend (or not!) other companies, individuals etc but not someone who is a 'friend' on here...bloody ridiculous. Hmmmmm cunning ploy...maybe Linda should 'leave' and we can then plug her like mad...and if a newbie such as Lindaatnumber9a joined we'd all be happy

Do you know i think the title of this thread is very true. It really is very sad that someone feels the need to get the facts wrong and send PM's. As someone else posted get a life.

We all know how helpful Linda is and how she dosen't need to tout for business. this has really annoyed me as well. I can only hope that whoever they are can go away and leave us to try and save money on weddings!

Next people will be accusing me of touting for buisness when i offer registrar advice!

Linda ignore them please, there are so many people who have been helped by your advice and it really would be sad if you left us.
