    hi Butlers1982 .

no the house is in my sole name . all she gave me was £400 and that was four weeks ago . but it was given cos at the time i had a bit of a cash flow prob .
and nothing is written down to say she can live there .

but last night she got mad so i gave her till the 1st october to get out . then i will change the locks . am i in my rights to do this ?

yes, effectively she is a lodger, and lodgers have no rights whatsoever. You have no written contract, she has given you a small bit of money which has not been contractually agreed, and its your house.

dont know . Its will be 3 weeks on the 1st of oct that i told her it was over . but i rang a letting agent and if all was ok with the ref's she could rent a house in a week . but i know they will as she has just come out of a rented property .

Was just going to say that if she can go to her parents or move in with a friend or go back where she came from, then 3 weeks is too generous.

I'd just say, softly, softly to get her out or she might dig in her heels but once she's gone, change the locks.

There's a lesson in all this about thinking very seriously before moving anyone in with you.
