I have had dealings with this company who have taken over £600 pound out of my account without my say so. they got hold of my card details, as i owed for a loan before that i hadnt been able to pay of, and went into my bank account taking my wages, leaving me short to pay my rent, council tax bills etc. surely this kind of activity is illegal.
i have reported this to the FSA plus contacted the trading standards to see what steps can be taken, if any to get this money back! this is surely wrong. how can comanies be aloud to do this to people.
I am a single parent who works full time, and i just about get by on what i get paid, and i company like this does this to me. not even considering if i can even afford for this to happen to me.
i contacted my bank, who said the money has already gone through even though it hasnt appeared on my online statement, and i must contact them in 3 days to make a fraudulent claim against this company. i am hoping this will work, as i dont know how i will pay my bills this month.
please if anyone has any advice on this matter please leave a comment or something. i am new to this, and have seen how this company works!!!!!!! ilegally:eek:0 -

I would do what other people often suggest when the same thing happens and they are left short for the month, change bank accounts so they can't drain your account anymore. Once you have done this contact the company and find out what if any is your outstanding balance with them and arrange a repayment you can afford. Don't give them you new debit card details ask for their bank account details and set up a standing order.Debt-Free day 30th September 20140 -
Hello, I was wondering if someone can give me advice about getting money back that CFO have taken from my bank account. They have taken 16 payments today totalling £882 leaving me with nothing to live on for the next month. I have spoken to my bank (Natwest) who stated there is nothing that can be done about it and they cannot reverse the payments, even though they have been taken when CFO did not have my card details. Natwest advise that even if they presented an old card details they (CFO) have systems that can access new card details! I didnt think this possible and told the bank it is theft. I am under a debt management plan and have recently started to make payments yet CFO claim to have not heard anything. The debt management company I am dealing with ahve said they will get me my money back but I dont know who to turn to or trust anymore0

Hi Fiona,
As this is an old thread it would be best for you to start a new one, so people will be able to easily see your questions and respond to them. You've done the right thing in contacting your DMP (please tell me it's one of the charities and not a fee-paying company), but have you also considered contacting CFO direct and letting them know your situation? It sounds as though they have been relatively helpful with other posters when informed that they were prepared to take it to the FSO so maybe this would be worth an email or phonecall (preferably email so you have a response in writing)?0 -
Thank you amyloofoo for your reply, I will post on a new thread. I am with Churchwood Financial through the smart money group but to be honest I have contacted the citizens advice and will be going to see them next week. I have contacted CFO and they said I have applied for a loan with a broker and thats how they apparently got my details........trouble is I have not applied for any loans recently and the whole point of entering into debt management is to get myself back on the straight and narrow! The natwest have advised they cant refund the money because it has gone to a loan company so there is nothing they can do.......I have complained to the bank that alarm bells should have been ringing when 22 payments went out of my account totalling £971 (its gone up since I posted on here!) all to one company!:mad:0

This thread has hopefully persuaded anybody owing money to this company that they should cancel their card and make a payment plan through direct bank transfer.
I would add if they send you a text offering the increase your loan DON'T DO IT. Payday loans are all just usery but this company take it to another level.0 -
