Hi,
Pat on the back to Oricle on this one, but I suspect that their response was due to the mention of taking this to the FSA as anything like this would be severely frowned upon and they would likely receive a significant fine should the FSA contact them and they could only turn around and say "we've done nothing" but, this should act as a warning... Also, I'd be especially wary of any company that has clearly used a name which sounds like another well known financial institution... Capital Finance One - Capital One... Sounds like they are hoping to trade on Cap One's name to me!
Re. Shelly, email ASAP, if you can get a rread reciept then get one. AT the very least you'll have evidence of them getting an email should the worst come to the worst. Also, look up their business/number on http://www.saynoto0870.co.uk/ there may be either a landline or freephone number available to use if they don't have on on their site... No point in paying them to speak to them as well :-)0 -
thank you i have emailed them, i will await there reply, many thanks0

Hi,
After reading all your posts I am becoming somewat concerned. I applied yesterday for a loan for £200. As yet nothing has arrived. I know it says you have to allow up to 48 hrs.
I am convinced now that what little I have will be emptied from my account. I am really starting to wish I hadn't done it. I guess as some of you have said, it is a lesson learnt. Companies do prey on the most desperate, and I guess anyone who takes out a payday loan is desperate. I just prey I haven't been swindled!!0 -
Hi Kelly,
I've only just heard of this site, I've had a look and the application process says 'complete the form, and someone will call you back'. Did anyone call you back?
I don't know how they operate but some of the other payday loan companies provide you with an account to log in to maintain your details etc... do you have this? Might be worth checking your details as you may have accidentally given the wrong number/email address? Just a thought...
Also, their contact details are listed as
info@capitalfinanceone.co.uk and their phone number is listed as 0843 216 4323.
Have you emailed and tried calling to chase the loan you took out?
It's best to cover all bases before panicking.0 -
I also have been waiting since last friday for my funds, noone has called me back and noone is answering my emails, there is no money in my bank for them to take but when i do get paid i am also panicking incase they take money out seeing as though they have my banking details.0

Oracle please could you give me the details of whom i need to contact at the police and the fsa? Capital Finance one have for the third time now cleared my bank account. I originally had a payday loan from them nearly two years ago which was cleared in full. However, since then, they have taken payments without my authority on numerous occasions. I have changed my bank account with my bank and cards have been cancelled and renewed and yet they are still getting funds as My bank says that they are able to link previous card details to the bank account to obtain funds?????? (Never heard of anything like it but im assured they can) Anyway, the latest scam is that today they took £250 from my bank account without my authorisation and when I checked with my bank I was told that they had been trying this for around ten days but funds were not available. However, today was my payday and bingo Capital finance one are laughing. My debit card was only replaced last month so there is no way they would have those details.
This is so illegal its beyond belief. I have tried repeatedly to ring them today with no avail. Surprise surprise and I and my bank have sent several very strongly worded emails which have not been responded to. I want my money back as I cannot afford to hand pver £250 to these cowboys and they need stopping now. If anyone knows How I can get this done asap please help. Many thanks0
