Good sleep last night and not so bad pain-wise today (ie painkillers actually working today :D)

KC is IN :j:j thankx to Terffic Top Totty (see her diary)

Grommie guinea decided to throw a wobbler this morning :eek::eek::eek:....just before i left to see KC....:eek::eek::eek:

...Good news.... he is still here this evening and will be at the vets tomorrow along with the rest of the gang for their second mite injection :T:T

New piggie lady totty booked to arrive for the boys on 1st Sept:D

Reply to Ombudsman was written and sent monday - requesting referral for revised adjucation to senior Ombudsman

Still got to reply to credit card dispute resolution ref oak floorboards (yes it's STILL going on) and also to Insurance-appointed solicitors ref builders/surveyors. On top of that I also have to ring new clients and book appointments....busy busy til end of week....:eek:

Right - off to re-assemble decontaminated pet carriers for trip to vets early tomorrow morning....and thence to bed.

One final thing - thank you so much to the unknown person who sent me the most gorgeous bunch of flowers today - brilliant orange gerberas, liles etc. :j. Really lifted my spirits :)

    Hmmm....too true hun - think I [STRIKE]am overdoing[/STRIKE] have overdone it a wee bit :o
Had a bit of a wibbler today so back to Gp to check everything is OK...thankfully no sign of infection :j:j.....

Piggies visited gorgoues vet yesterday (he is deffo Spanish and not Italian :o)...and instead of quick grab and jab, he gave each piggie a full MOT (heart/lungs/ears/skin/paws/teeth/weight/lumps/lymph nodes/bladder stones etc) and further disucssion on each of their meds going forwards. I was there an hour and a half :D (and was only charged for the jabs ).

So good news is that all piggies are doing fine...except Grommie :(. We have discussed a care plan for him in the end stages which we are now fast approaching....very sad but he has had a long innings and is now a very old guinea....(80+ guinea years) Despite eating like a horse, and still being very active.and vastly improved since we got rid of the ear mites.........he is still having breathing problems and is losing weight - he is now down to 900g. We have new meds for him now and another final option on different meds later on..and hopefully we can stabilise his weight/breathing during this period..but if/once he drops below 850g we wlll need to make a decision regarding his quality of life :(.

Have been struggling with the reply to credit card disputes ref oak flooorboards today.......yawn/rant/yawn.........and have also secured work/dosh for first week of september which should now start to build over the coming months

This weekend, I really MUST sort out the house having postponed the inevitable for three weeks...with piggies and hay littering the lounge and dining room (yet again) .....it's in a bit of a sorry state :o.
Parents are visiting bank holiday weekend :eek:...for first time in 7 years :eek:....am bricking it and already rehearsing my "replies" with psychotherapist as it is clear that my mum is currently marshalling her latest assault tactics about how unhappy she is and...guess what..... IT'S ALL MY FAULT/RESPONSIBILITY :rotfl::rotfl:...nothing new there then

Looking back to this time last year and the year before.......I can;t quite believe how much stronger I am now as a person compared to then, when there would have been no way I would have contemplated even being alone in the same room with her toxic behaviour for more than 10 mins :T:T:T:T

Right off to bed now having bedded and medded the piggies.

Oooh - forgot to say - Spoke to KC tonight and she is OK :T:Tso have updated her diary....so now off to bed.

    Sleep well everyone

Please get some rest honey (says me on here at silly o clock)

Glad you had a productive day at the vets and that you still have a couple of options with grommie.

You are definitely loads stronger as a person and am sure you will be able to deal with whatever crap she throws at you.

Thanks for updating KCs diary..am off to looksie now

Well Autumn is fast approaching (lower temperatures and dew on the grass each morning) - and there's that smell in the air that always used to signify "back to school with new shoes".

Finally I have this sudden urge to kick myself up the bum and start taking back control of my life. So I think it's now high time to get myself back on track and into a proper routine (with proper sleep!!) after the last few months of drifting around slightly aimlessly :o

I have finally finished the response for the credit card company ref the oak floorboards.:T I have slogged over it friday afternoon and the whole of saturday morning - and while I realise that less can sometimes equal more, in true Wol style I have sent a substantial 4 page missive with enclosures challenging every single statement made by the mill owner. (who is still trying to cloud the real issue - i.e. the goods were not as described on their web site :D). One thing I didn;t realise was that my order being placed over the telephone is more than likely covered by Distance Selling Regulations so have quoted a bit of that as well as it makes my case much stronger :D . I really do hope that this will be the last input I need to have on the matter and that the merchant will now collect the floorboards still cluttering up Piggie Palace and I will get my refund.

Then need to take a deep breath and start preparing the new evidence files to both the Ombudsman and the new solicitors ref the surveyor :(

There is also good news in that I have new clients to see in early September and the budget set aside for me to run the programme this year appears to be safe and we can now start to spend it . Phew - I will have some money coming in at long last :j.

Grommie guinea is slowly increasing his weight but still has a lot of eating to do before I consider him to be out of danger. I also need to organise myself into a proper and regular routine for all the piggie meds....it's now becoming quite crucial that they get the diuretic at the same time intervals each day otherwise the effects wear off too quickly and we end up back to square 1. They're all still inside the house ( to straw and hay everwhere plus daily laundering of towels) and I will be asking Big Bruv Builder to come and help me move the now disinfected outdoor cages back into piggie palace this week so we can set them up for the coming winter (and in preparation of the new girlie guineas arriving on 1st September :D - pigtures of the happy couples will be posted when they arrive ;)).

So today it's more cleaning, tidying and de-cluttering - plus what to do with the half kilo of blackberries I harvested yesterday just from around the stream area.:money:(Mrs Crimbles gluten-free crumble mix is sounding like a good otpion) and also freezing more beans that still need to be picked :D

Right - off for a shower and thence to blitz the kitchen

    It's like a summers day up here:cool:

:p:p:p - grey and fine drizzle here all day :(

    Sell the Blackberries and beans:D

Blackberries now stewed with apples, a bit of pear....and some alcoholic beverage or other...(purely as a preservative of course :whistle::whistle: ).....plus a bit of orange juice, mixed spice and sugar). Nom nom nom.....Will now freeze it and put it in a (gluten-free :shhh::shhh:) crumble for when mum and dad come up next weekend :D

Beans will have to wait to be picked tomorrow - apart from a few that will end up in my tummy tonight along with the lamb steak I got off the whoopsie shelf yesterday :money:

New oven (which took a bit of a hammering over The Rave weekend :o) has now had it's first clean. Bottom oven is back to looking sparkly new :j:j - but top oven needs another two or three goes methinks (despite catalytic liners :().

Kitchen duly blitzed - and work surfaces revealed :rotfl:- and I;ve actually washed some clothes today (as opposed to piggie towels) :T

Currently putting up some pictures and will then move to lounge to sort out piggies and start ironing . Also today found somewhere to sell my golf clubs - it's relatively local to me, just visit and they will raise a cheque. This will be the first big bit of "decluttering" I have done. I need to sell as much as possible to wipe out the mortgage drawdown of £39,300. Before that I have a £3500 CC bill to get rid of where the 0% runs out in October (more on that tomorrow ;))

I had hoped today would be NSD - but just bought a chest freezer for Piggie Palace to arrive tuesday (still got all my courgettes and beans to freeze and already have fridge looking like Gatwick airport ...with previously cooked soups etc patiently waiting for space to be frozen :rotfl::rotfl:) and also stocked up on a load of piggie supplies, including syringes and a new batch of their special hay on line - which should keep me going til end of the year (cash back etc of course ;))

However the heat output from the freezer in PP will mean the piggies shouldn't need exhorbitant extra heating over the winter (unlike last year ) .....I hope :money:. Note to self - need to check and possibly switch utilities this month :D

Spoke to KC this afternoon - she is fine but getting a bit bored of emptying boxes (I can quite understand how she feels )

And last but not least - I have FINALLY managed to get a digital signal for my radio :T:T:T:T......(we don;t do digital down in this neck of the woods - you;re lucky if your Sky dish can get a signal :rotfl:)....so at last I can have music in the kitchen while I'm pottering around :j:j....and OMG - they;re playing the old Follyfoot theme tune ....goodness I feel OLD :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Right, off to check the weather forecast as I heard a vicious rumour we're due for some heavy rain

    xxxx

Edit: Oh dear. rather a lot of rain over the next few hours - toddles off to put car/piggies and various other stuff out of harm's way ;)
