    Hi Beanie

Sorry to hear you have muscle spasms..judging from my recent (first and I hope last) limited experience, it must be very frustrating and painful for you ....:grouphug:... and thanx for detiling the meds you take..I hope they work well in cutting down the frequency of occurrence.

Well the journey was not too bad even in the rush hour - in total a three and a half hour round trip today. However I then had a wait of 2.5 hrs........all for 2 mins (yes two!!) of the consultants time ....he was running late and clearly wanted his lunch :rotfl:. Still at least i got my hand zapped by the nurse while I was there.

Consultant has agreed to continue the hand zapping :T:T but reducing frequency down to once every three weeks until Feb. Currently I know the effects last for about two weeks so as this is a "new" treatment we are now "experimenting" on how long it will last before it needs "topping up" :D....at least therefore I don;t have to buy a machine yet :)

Some bad news on the income front - there's a distinct possibility the budget set aside for the work I am invoicing for atm is about to be re-directed ..

Saw a perfect job but it would mean relocating to the south west...which would mean renting out the house as I can;t sell it. If I let the whole house, unfurnished, I could get just about enough to cover the mortgage (plus storage of my contents). MSE info suggests I should be able to get permission from the mortgage company to rent out in view of the current economic climate......and Insurance company today confirmed I can convert my buildings insurance to landlords insurance ....However the insurance company also confirmed that there is no way a prospective tenant would get contents insurance from them or anyone else because of my high risk postcode...:(..(they even went as far as to check with the underwriters on this)....and that all the flood proofing and protection I have put in place would have no bearing on their decision as it;s made purely on postcode/flood risk area alone :mad:

I clearly need to start re-thinking my strategy here and develop a cunning plan for 2011 ...
Thoughts and actions for the next 6 weeks are:
    a) do tax return by end of month (think i am due a tax refund for too much tax paid in advance)
    b) work and bill as much as possible out of that budget before it is snaffled ;)
    c) ebay like mad
    d) make a list of all potential types of jobs/employers; evalute pros and cons; re-write Cv accordingly and start researching/telephoning contacts. Apply for anything and everything regardless of where it is to get my name out and build more contacts
    e) Re-vamp the current business consultancy business, get previous clients to give references, generate marketing material and possibly even a website, network like crazy and try and drum up some private clients
f)make a list of all the new business ideas, do some market research/cash flows and work out which ones might fly
    g) weigh up a full time job vs the ideas/cash flow etc I have had for starting a new business (es)
    h) decide on whether i can feasibly relocate or if I really am stuck here - if stuck look into getting in a lodger/cabin crew
    i) try and cadge a hot bath from somewhere before Christmas

Phew - another mammoth post and i really need to go to bed as i go very little sleep last night courtesy of some furry lodgers and am absolutely knackered.

All piggies are doing OK (heating is on all night atm as we are -4 )..Beehie is much more active (when food is around) since he has been on regular pain meds ..(as are the mice in the first floor and loft, especially throughout the night  - not that the mice are on pain meds.... but judging from the plethora of tiny feet patterings in all directions on the bedroom ceiling, clearly none of them drowned when the header tank leaked )

So tomorrow I shall start to action the plan....and give Beechie lots of cuddles. Thursday I am out with clients after I have dropped Beechie off at the vets first thing for his op _pale_.....and that;s as far as I;m going to think tonight.

    Off to bed now.....nite nite

Hi Wol. Consultant sounds good/bad news, income sounds *bad* news, but I like your cunning plan for 2011: and even if a website only has your name, contact details and logo on it, I think its essential.

I'm just off to the herbalist - spending all my energy right now on getting well, still got some more official things to do - but you are *very* welcome to come here to have a hot bath! My bathroom is small but perfectly formed, the heating works, everything! Just book in with me - a regular booking if you'd like. :)

Golly - where has the time gone today....still its been very positive.

Woke up late having had my first uninterrupted night's sleep for I don;t know how long :j

Did some research for Numpty and sent him an email ( and also some new pigtures to cheer him up ......hugs Hun :grouphug:)

I don;t need to relocate for the job :T:T.....so have spoken to the recruitment agency, prepared and sent a covering letter and CV (took quite a lot of time) and i have an interview in Cambridge on friday :j

Was a lovely surprise to see KC on my doorstep this afternoon :A We had a cup of tea and a natter (and Ginger got fussed over) and I drove her home.

Spent some time today researching and responding to questions on guineapig health on a piggie forum I am a member of....I seem to be the "bug" expert on there

Have prepared for my meetings tomorrow and now have Beechie's case packed for the vet. He has been allowed on the sofa to watch Rebus with a bowlful of his favourite veggies (spinach)....and has been given lots of cuddles.

Off to bed now as early start tomorrow.

I feel very left out as I have not received one of these spam emails everyone is talking about :(

Phew...what a tiring day. Got back an hour ago having been out since 8am this morning.

Beechie has now started eating so should be ready for pick up tomorrow morning. I need a conflab with the vet though. They found no lump/mass at all (confused.....they said they saw it on the X ray...) but I'm not complaining....:D.....however they think tey have identified what's causing his gut problems .....there are adhesions. That's all I know from the nurse reading the notes...don;t know how bad or the prognosis...(but spookily adhesions was the first thing i suggested to the vet when I took him in with the problem this time last year...maybe I am a guinea whisperer :rotfl::rotfl:)

I'm very tired and have a load of stuff to swot up on in preparation for the interview tomorrow....(but no time as have to spend tomorrow morning going to vets)......

Off to bed now and will get up early

It's not one of those "Face of Jesus" Xrays is it?

Or you just have a bit of experience with these things.

Good luck for the interview - I'm sure it will all come naturally to you even with no time to prepare, you strike me as the type of person who is always able to come up with the right things to say and the ability to sell your skills to them. If you are feeling nervous remember you are f
fabulous and they will be lucky to have you working for them.:D

Hope beechie is okay as well.
