Just finished reading it- hilariousBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

Harumph!
Tried to amend the title today but no go.
I'd like to add "Revolution" - (hence 3 R's..)
"Revolution" because I need to do....or rather "re-do" some things that I used to do but havent recently - hence "resolution" is not qute apt as the wheel is turning full circle.
So currently I have 11 points:
a) Spend more time with guineas
b) get back to playing piano :T
c) Give up booze
d) Give up cigs
e) Exercise more
f) Get more work/business development from private clients
g) Do rodentologist exam and look to expand to local vets practices :j
h) Sort out utilities billls/providers :money::money:
i) Declutter and make cash :money::money:
j) Sort out food/diet especially between 8am and 6pm when eat nothing
k) Sort out Ombudsman and new court cases
Think that's it for now......this is long term and it won;t happpen overnight - but this time next year I am seriously looking to have achieved ALL of it _pale__pale_
No pressure there then

Wow - my counsellor is just brill :T:T
So here have I been slowly spiralling downwards over the last two weeks, reaching a pretty low point last night and wondering why I just couldn't get all the things done I needed to do this week before "The Parental Visit" this weekend. Each evening I beat myself up for what I haven;t achieved and then the following day have done even less and thence beat myself up even more
And now I know why - I've been practically paralysed worrying about doing all this stuff in order to gain their approval for the house and my current lifestyle - yet I should by now realise full well that it doesn;t matter how perfect or otherwise it is, my mum will find at least 5 things to complain about or dislike iwthin 5 minutes of arriving. So why am I bothering trying to turn MY house into HER house just for the sake of a couple of days :wall::wall::wall:
I'm already vacating my bedroom for them (which means clearing it all out) and having to organise menus that they will be happy to eat - so does it really matter if the beans aren;t picked, the lawns un-mowed and the hanging baskets not dead-headed? (and Numpty - I think your idea of the ironing in the loft is a good one :rotfl:)
.......:rotfl::rotfl:.....Maybe I should keep the piggies in the lounge after all instead of moving them to Piggy Palace tomorrow
Well having put [STRIKE]a lot[/STRIKE] practically everything off untill tomorrow- I can see that I shall nevertheless be fair whooshing around with the hoover and duster...sorting out Piggy Palace cages with Big Bruv..cleaning the car.......and then shopping
Will probably try and sneak back on saturday night
