Keep your chin up, give the squeakers a stroke from me. mine have been enjoying the sunshine in their runs over the long weekends, they also squeak like mad when i'm doing the weeding as they know it's heading for them.

Nice to hear from you again and hope the old lugholes soon heal! I see you are as busy as ever but glad to hear you will be taking some time out to watch the wedding.
My father and stepmum were concerned about their little piggy - she was limping and seemed generally off colour. However after a trip to the vet, some overgrown claws trimmed and some treatment for a urine infection, she is now running around like a mad thing again. Not bad for a six year old, which I understand is a reasonable age for a guinea pig.

6 years is indeed approaching ancient in piggie years (although our oldest known UK pig is 10!)

Sounds like she is a pretty spunky piggie!!!

(No !!......not THAT type of spunky :o)

    Naughty, naughty Wol!

Just got a second chicken today to keep the lovely Lou company - this one is a Coral Nick type, which is a medium sized white hen. There were a few strong words between the two when they met but when I looked ten minutes ago they were both strutting around their run together and not tearing great lumps out of each other. Which is nice. And the newcomer (Corrie) laid an egg within an hour of her arrival. Which is even nicer.

The cat, being a sensible boy, is keeping his distance, having already learned the meaning of the term "henpecked".

Ahh, animals! The source of great joy and sadness - where would we be without them!

    Hi Wol

Hope you're taking good care of yourself.
Good to read that you're finances or moving in the right direction and unless i've misread something, there are no major calamaties. Did the neighbours manage to get flood insurance on their quotes? Wasn't too sure how that ended. You are covered aren't you?

Hope the garden has started to bloom for you - not really my thing (hayfever), but it will hopefully be a nice relaxing environment for you and piggies to enjoy.
