Well time for an update I think!!

The insurance quote came through with no flood cover and £200 higher than my current renewal premium It is however meant to be transferable (although it doesn;t state that).

    If it doesn't state it...

Pothole damage meant had to replace an almost brand new tyre at £150 - I have photos and will at least try to get some type of compensation from the council but I realise this is an almost impossible feat

Hand treatment is going really well - now only going once a month. I can;t believe the difference between now and a year ago....pain is dramatically reduced, far less frequent and functionaility of fingers is getting much better.

I've decided it's probably best to treat this year as a means of continuing to restore some stability to all areas of my life and make any decisions on major changes (such as selling the house/going full time-employed) next year.

It's no crime to not plan and just see what happens. I always seem to end up doing that...

Onwards and upwards, Wol, remember Z's words about not needing to feel obliged to plan everything. As the late John Lennon said in the song "Beautiful Boy", life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

    Hi Wol

Not been on the board for a wee bit, but it looks like you've been busy yourself.

    Hi All

    I'm still here :beer::beer:

Sorry I;ve been off for a bit......I've been a bit up and down over the last few weeks (not feeling very well, dizzy spells etc) and it turns out I probably have some type of infection in the ear labyrinth. I normally get two or three good days and then have to spend a day in bed/sitting quietly as I wake up with a temperature and having lost my sense of coordination/balance. Today however I got something from the GP to stop my head spinning and hopefully I won;t feel so debilitated when I have an off day. I'm hoping too I will start to sleep through the night as i think the last good night's sleep I had (ie more than 3 hours uninterrupted) was before christmas.....going back to the GP about this later this week for a full MOT as there is some concern the little monkey in my head may be playing up.

Despite this, there has been some progress albeit not as much as I had anticipated.

Went to the Wonderbra meet in Durham with Z, Numpty and Auntie Smashed and got reacquainted with some of the old daily chat crew :j:beer:

Ginger piggie has now received the all clear from the vet so is going on a date   in two weeks time (when we go up to help Aunti Smashed move house). Bandit and Bailey are getting on well in the run (but not well enough to try and put them in the same cage yet :o). Willow is slowly losing weight so is cause for concern....vet found a tender area on his spine so he is due for an X ray in May.

For the first time ever I have a young wild rabbit living in my garden who has just graduated from my grass to my plants  (piggies are a bit miffed too...about the grass that is!)

Been involved in several furry rescues/transportation that on one occasion involved a round trip of 600 miles.Have made some new friends...one of whom is coming to visit next monday :)

Clients have been well behaved and keeping me busy over the last three weeks with quite a few meetings (for which I have already been paid)....and bank account is looking healthy

Couple of new opportunities for work have presented themselves and am currently having meetings to follow this up.

More plumbing done (very nice top totty and ever so polite :D) to rectify the final problem re water pressure - got this done on the plumbing insurance :money:

Went to see family at Easter

I have finally got out into the garden for the first time this year and jetwashed the patio, half the furniture and mowed the lawns :)

Will be frantically tidying up the house tomorrow and thursday as me, KC and piggies will be watching The Wedding on friday together and then (weather permitting) going to see the bluebells which are out a month early

That's all for now - hopefully I will shake off this virus soon as it;s been going on for weeks now and bewteen it and client meetings I have only had one day in the sunshine so far :(.......

Still to do for month of May:
Step up the decluttering and ebaying :money:
Business accounts for on account tax payment in July:mad:
Sort out the garden (weeeding/compost bins/pruning/plant veggies/hanging baskets).

Service the flood defences (needs doing every spring and autumn)

Off to bed now as early start tomoz for client meeting

    xxx
    Flooded 20/07/07 :(.
Normal service FINALLY RESUMED 31/07/10 :j:j

    Hi Wol Sweetie.

Good to see you posting...have missed you online at silly early hours in the morning.

Take care of yourself & the piggies....LOL at watching Royal Wedding...had a strange mental picture of you all waving little union jacks in front of the TV...even the piggies:D

    Take it easy.

Oh dear, I've had that sort of thing, and it's not good. Hope you're eating well enough to keep your weight up.
