Bob -It's becoming a bit of a ritual biting my nails in Sept/Oct waiting for the ballot results. At least I will have someone else to virtually chew nails with :D.

A friend recommended I follow the Jeff Galloway running programme which you might find interesting. It's supposed to help you run injury free and it's a run walk programme https://www.jeffgalloway.com. My plan is to make it round in one piece, if I get in.

Just finished reading your diary and it's brilliant. Well done with everything you've achieved so far.

Oh thanks for the linkie- i have had a look at a few but this one seems right up my street:D

My diary is mostly waffle-i tend to just muddle along like everyone, and should probably be more focused but i get lead astray..:rotfl::rotfl:

    Evening all

Oh it's been a lovely day here and I'm just in from the garden with maybe a million more freckles. Even now I hold out hope that the freckles will join together and give me a tan :D It hasn't happened yet but you never now.

OH is in the kitchen slaving over a hot stove :), we're having steak. Sunday night he makes an effort... but I bought the steaks, marinaded them, prepared the veg and even set up the pan to cook the steaks in and will doodle up in a bit to set the table for later but I can guarantee you that once dinner is finished I will be doing the dishes as he 'cooked' dinner :rotfl: I even cleaned his kitchen today as it was becoming a health hazard.

Can't complain as he has paid the balance of our holiday today - yippee.

    Update today

Do ironing - Done (not as bad as first feared)
Hoover house - Done - woo hoo
Start sorting out last years holiday clothes for this year - Next weekend, I promise

Have noticed with wearing contacts that you notice more things that need cleaned and it's not as easy ignored

    On food front-
    Weetabix (2) + toast & cheese +choc bikkies (6) + tonight steak with veg (8?) = 18

Spends - 2.50 on papers (it's sunday and 1 was for my Mum :))

Can someone tell me how to copy a previous message? I see the quote box appear but can't figure it out. I never said I was computer literate :) and I'm sure it's really simple.

Right aware to prepare lunch and work clothes for tomorrow. I hate Mondays.

Hi Meersy - to quote just hit the 'quote' button on the post you want to copy and it will open in a new reply window - you can then delete any bits you don't want to appear and add your own musings underneath.

If you want to be a real fancy pants and quote from several posts in your reply, hit the button next to the quote button (I think it's got a couple of coloured speech bubbles on it) on the postings you want to copy, a tick will then show on each button, then hit the post reply button at the bottom of the page and all your quoted posts will show in the reply box, you can then edit them as before.

    Have fun

    Morning everyone... it's Monday:eek:

Hi Saorsie, thank you for your help. I should have spotted the quote thing as it was under my nose:o I will leave the fancy pants bit for a while until I've mastered my first quote :)

I have £41 to last me to pay day in 10 days.. yikes. I have other money but don't want to touch it. I will see how I get on. I was hoping for an NSD today but nephews were up yesterday and they are like a plague of locusts so had to buy milk (75p).

Have been up early and the Shred is done. It was really tough going this morning - I shouldn't have had that wine.:p

    Have fun everyone

I have joined the 100 day challenge which starts on 1st Sept to clear my evil b'card...it will be gone :D

Me too. Thing is I like such an eclectic mix and for the last week I have had an imaginary playlist in my head of all the new tracks I want to get. I too have v little money to last till next Tuesday but child benefit goes in tomorrow so may pinch some of that for music (I'm not sure how to get free tunes) :o

I am loving Lady Antebellum atm - not really running music though!

Hi Polesalot - gave up trying to find free itunes but will have another go tmw. I really don't have any particular type of music either it just depends on the song and my mood:)

Me, Mum, sisters (+ 1 hubby) and sister's kids are heading to Alton Towers in Oct. I've managed to scavenge enough Tesco vouchers for 2 tickets and I'm £1.50 short for another one. I know it's hiding in the house somewhere and I'm on a mission to find it. Sister has buy one get one free vouchers, the youngest one is under 4 (free) and my mum gets pensioner rates. so at this rate we will only have to buy 1 kids ticket and 2 adults (1 pensioners). It's amazing how times change and how excited I am about saving money:D. I'm also hiring a car while i'm over and have a 20% voucher. Sad but happy:)

If you're sad then so am I! I love that empowering feeling knowing that you have saved yourself money on something that would actually cost ££££ - like using your Boots Advantage points to buy perfume...mmmm

I really begrudge paying full price for anything now:) Which is such a change from how things used to be:o

Not many plans for today -

Return Next sale stuff (not a bargain if it's horrible)
    Go to work
    Go for run at lunchtime
Take this house apart until I find my £1.50 Tesco voucher:)
    Have an NSD

Plans for weekend (will just keep adding to this and might get some things done before the weekend)

Sort out holiday stuff from last year
Sort out clothes for next free listing day on ebay
    weed garden (I hate gardening)
    Cut hedges (massive task)

First things first - get up and face the world:)
