Cheap iPods:£30 shuffle & £60 Nano at Morrisons

I called the my local store in Plymouth and they said that the closet ones were in either Newquay and Paignton (about 70 & 30 miles away respectively).

If you live near these then I would get down there fast as it sounds like they selling out fast (if not already sold out).

Chatted with the staff on the 'audio bar' at my store and as told that they have had people coming in for over a week asking for the 'cheap ipods'. They also called ALL the stores in the area with the 'Techno bar' all 2 of them out of around 15 stores and ALL sold out last week. Will be getting NO more stock !!!

My Advice - if your shopping there anyway ask. If not don't even bother making a special trip.

Should have read this first!! Rang around but appears they all sold out on Monday in my area.

The store in Mansfield has a 'techno bar' with 2gb and 4gb ipod shuffles available at a reduced price but not as cheap as £20. I've just bought a 2gb model for £32.98. There were only a few on display. The shop assistant said that the other models had already gone as they had the reductions on since Monday.

I went into our local store Wakefield ( Dewsbury Road) and was told that they had none in stock but were expecting some in!!! Sales Assistant gave me a telephone number so I could call back tomorrow to check!!! Am very confused now.....

Rung round Leeds, Rothewell, Hunslet, Kirstall, York, Harrogate, Borougbridge.... They don't have any left (if they had any to start with!)

Just been to Morrisons in Byker, Newcastle and they have green 2GB for £29.98 and other colours for £32.98, also had the 4GB for about £45. Had a few left.

Just asked staff in Westcroft store, Milton Keynes and they had no idea what I was talking about! Apparently I was the third person in the store asking about them today. They did have iPods but priced around £36 for the shuffle, £110 for the Nano. Left my number so might get a call if things change...
