I have just rung Sky asking about the 3d channel and was told that it would cost me an extra £16 a month reduced to £8 for 6 months, now this seems a bit crap to me, anyone any views. I currently have a full package except films and have been with sky close to 13 years and also have my bb with them
Cheers0 -

So if you have the full package minus movies that would be entertainment extra with sports and hd. To add movies it would be £8 per month and you get 3d free. £16 is the cost of movies on its own but you get it half price if you subscribe to sports
Okay cheers, I have the full package minus movies so the deal of £8 is not a deal at all really it's just bringing me in to line if I wanted it for 3d....does Sky do any sort of specials for long term customers, I did try to get a new sky box and the guy said no0 -
We cancelled our sky package last month, cut-off is on 16th June. We have been customers for years but with all our other bills increasing we just cannot justify the expense. They did offer 20% off for 12 months with no tie-in which I accepted originally but after going through our finances we called back days later to cancel. They were very nice and helpful but could not offer us a deal to fit our budget otherwise we (mainly Hubby) would love to keep sky :-(0

Sky cancelled 30 days ago and has gone off today. No offers, no phone calls so we will just wait and see what happens. Has anyone else gone this far and got no offers at all?0

I was cut off last week of March and heard nothing until today when i received in the post a 6 months free offer for a 12 month contract. Not sure whether to accept or wait for something better. Cant say i've missed Sky that much to be honest, have until 30th June to decide!0

Sky let me go very easily nearly a month ago after 10 years without a single discount and I have heard nothing from them. I am also not really missing it so may not bother taking up any offer that does materialise. With fewer channels it's easier to find stuff worth bothering with.0

I'm with Sky and already had 25% off Entertainment+ tv package, 6 months free unlimited talk and broadband, and £1 a month line rental. There was a disruption in my service when switching the talk and broadband from BT and offered a further offer of half price hd for 12 months. (The sky operative said it was the only offer on the system i haven't already got!)
Thus currently paying £20 a month for HD Tv, unlimited talk and broadband, and line rental. After 6 months will be paying aprox £32.50 for a further 6 months when all offers expire and further negotiations will take place.
That makes it aprox £315 for all services for 12 months.0 -

Hi Guys.
Just wanted to tell you about the deal ive just got.
Ive been a sky customer for about 5 years, and since joining have never paid full price for tv, broadband & phone.
Every 6 months I ring up and threaten to leave, and there is always a offer for me to take up.
Currently I have sky+ box with the entertainment + package.
I am currently paying £15.37 for this package (25% off for 6 months - got it when my other deal ended in Jan 2012)
My deal is due to end begining of August and just heard about the price increase - 'or as they put it price freezer offer end for loyal customers - so no actual price increase of prices from sky)
I rang today telling them in September I can no longer afford £25 for enetrtainment + and my box is on its way out, and not prepared to upgrade or buy a new one.
Today I was offered an extention of the 25% offer until Feb 2013, and a free HD+ box, with free installation, free upgrade to HD channels (worth £10.25 extra) Clause is I have to sign on for another 12 months.
So until 1st Septemeber 2012 its - £15.38/m ( saving of £15.38/m)
Then it will be £18.75/m until Jan 2013 (saving of £16.50)
Then it will be £25.00/m until June 2013. (saving of £10.25)
I spoken to Paul in the retention department, who said if I ring again Sept I may get a different offer, as I have offers that appear on my account every 3-6 months. So fingers crossed I get a better deal after Sept.
Good Luck with neogotiating a better bargin.0 -
Its a difficult balance I guess as once you have been given rolling from offer to offer for a few years it gets progressively harder for them to not put you on another one as if they dont they risk alienating a customer and potentially having you leave.0
