I dont like either of those - "forumee" would be better if we have to have forum in the word.0

MSE'r is better.0

I went with forumite in the end, but what about forumfriends, as most people on the forum are all helpful and generally friendly in my experience. If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

I went for forumite as the lesser of two evils, as I didn't like either. But on one or two other forums I go on, the forum is referred to as "boards" and it's users are known amongst themselves as "boardies".0

Thanks to all the votes
The term we use for site users is MoneySavers.
Yet this is specifically forum users and to differentiate

Forumite? Makes me think of troglodyte.
Perhaps that is what I am, albeit a modern aged one. Sitting in my study all on my own, hour after hour, trawling the pages of MSE awaiting the latest discovery of a bargain or glitch.0 -
Doh!
The voting closed and I didn't know because I voted before reading all the posts.:o
Does that mean that 'If you vote after the polls have closed, your vote won't be counted but you may still be charged?':D:eek:
I voted for Forumite..............even if it doesn't/didn't count in the poll.
That's because I can hear Martin saying it and he's written it a few times too................so Forumites is what I've been used to hearing/reading.;)10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j [/COLOR]:cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. I suggest a correct and more useful and more tongue-friendly short form of 'forum users' or 'forum members' is 'f'ers'.
"The f'ers were discussing this", "the f'ers were wittering on about that", "what have the f'ers started moaning about now?"
.
.
Isn't there a danger that f'ers will sound a little 'rude'....if your are pronouncing the eff??? :rotfl:There are plenty of people I could call effers but non on here I'm glad to say! :A0 -
Both words sound dreadful but I suppose forumite of the two, especially given the useful definition posted earlier. What on earth is wrong with "forum user"? Too lazy to use more than one word? I hate this modern tendency to invent odd and silly sounding words (they may have definitions but are "slang" in my book), whatever happened to proper English?2020 Wins:
