Member or user are well known terms which IMO also don't sound as tacky

I suggest a correct and more useful and more tongue-friendly short form of 'forum users' or 'forum members' is 'f'ers'.

"The f'ers were discussing this", "the f'ers were wittering on about that", "what have the f'ers started moaning about now?"

I guess MSErs could describe people using any part of the site, whereas Martin wants a specific term for the forum users. I prefer "forumite" even though it's not strictly speaking accurate ("forumer" is more so). I have to say, I refer to peeps as either MSErs or occasionally Users or even Members.

Forumite sounds like a mineral. Does it glow green and make Martin lose his super powers?

Didn't vote as I prefer MSE's. (MoneySavingExperts) not that we all are, but we do aspire to be!
