Rang them to check my order was still gong through, it is and they still can not provide the spec. But they did say if its not what I was expecting then it can be easily returned :rolleyes:

got the same call they are going to call me back with the spec tomorrow but it will also be on the website then - over 200 orders in 1 day for a laptop with no spec apparently - the power of mse - we should get a discount

got a call from comet regarding my order, they say they are in stock mon and they will ring on mon to arrange delivery, looks good so far, i will let you know when it arrives and if its all its meant to be.....................:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

if anyone get's the spec on this, can they let me know if it has a standard serial port - as I need this to upload to my satellite system, and my Sony Viao laptop has died (won't ever buy a sony again)

I don't think any affordable laptops have serial ports anymore.

Just use a Prolific based USB to RS232 converter cable.

there is no specs with this laptop,is it worth buying as i need a laptop for uni.looking for something around the 1024mb ram.

buy one and buy extra memory - its what i do.

ive got a HP - £450 cost from comet - much better than the acer - faster, and you have the brand name of HP behind. 512MB - 60GB HDD, wifi, etc... i can run photoshop CS2 on it without any problems.

wouldnt cost you more than £60 to buy 1GB memory card and its easy so you can fit it yourself.

hmm why much better? - why much faster? - Is Acer not a brand name? - maybe not as big as HP.

Personally I would wait to confirm the specs of the Acer.
