Good to hear, because I'm considering switching to Lloyds simply because they offer a decent debit card. :)

(Have 2 accounts with HBOS and one with Clydesdale Bank at the moment)
  • Can i ask though...
Why don't other banks offer this?

It seems now that Visa Debit cards can be "control" cards just like Electron, AFAIK this was never possible before. Perhaps this spells the end of Visa Electron in this country............ (Although that's not necessarily a good thing, just look at Ryanair's stupid charges for cards other than Electron)

As for the level of service you've recieved from Lloyds, that's exactly what I recieve from Bank of Scotland.

Clydesdale Bank on the other hand.......... :(
  • One more thing. I don't have a driving licence or a passport. They ask for photo id. I have a few things with my name and photo on which are offical.
London trasnport oyster photocard which you need to send off for and my college pass.

Now i'm worried they won't let me open it with out a Passport or Driving licence :(

Won't they take birth certificate and a bank statement as proof of identity?

Some banks do that for people aged under 18 only. I didn't have a passport when opening my account with HBOS. (Although do now).

Take said things with photo on them along with your birth certificate and a recent bank statement, should be okay :)

Do the company that provide the backend for that website take a percentage of what you sell?
  • They take cost. So i take all profit...
  • Anyway, I have to go back during the week.. I'll inform you of customer service e.t.c and what account they offer... :)
