Not really with it this morning asked DH to go and make tea first thing he was a bit grumpy and when he brought it back even more so. Turns out I had forgotten it was his birthday. Well not really forgotten as I had got card and presents but I had forgotten it first thing. Going out for lunch with his family BIL is over from South Africa so it should be nice if the old folks don't fight. Going to a Lloyds No1 bar so nice and cheap too.
Got a few things to sort out workwise today as I have such a hectic week ahead of me with a 7am start tomorrow morning then staying away too. Great more hotel.
Signed up for the The Chocolate Tasting Club as suggested by TPA really good offer but not sure it went through as I got an error message. £18 worth of chocolates for £6.99 plus £5 cashback with Quidco. Nice but I think you have to cancel the subsription afterwards or you get more every 4 weeks.
Really need to get up now any thoughts on the curtain situation shall I get new ones or keep the old ones?Save £12k in 25 No 49

Love the flooring. Great playground for the boys too. Personally I would change the curtains, I think they are too pale. But can't go too dark as the whole room could end up looking too dark. How about a light coffee or a vanilla with a slighter darker pattern on them ?
Would something like these work:

The room looks great TG
I like the ones you have and I like the idea of long curtains, perhaps with a bold pattern? My MIL has a cream and brown room with dramatic patterned curtains which looks great - just an idea
Hope your DH had a good birthday! I forgot my DH's birthday last time until a friend reminded me at 11am! Thankfully he had forgotten too

Cannot belive its the end of the weekend again. Gone so quickly. Had the BIL here this week and Friday was a total disaster. Had MIL, FIL and BIL down for dinner and in the end they left at 8pm just after dinner as she insited on watching the Wales rugby game and I did not really want to watch rugby so I went upstairs. DH was so angry with them how rude is that.
Been out to lunch with them today no mention of it. Well they are getting old so what can you say.
Managed to make 3 bags I can use for Christmas presents turned out really nice might have to keep one myself. Did not get the ASOS offer on the Grab it thread it got sussed just before I ordered but I got the coat anyway a little purple duffel coat for my friends daugther. £11 down from £19 and free delivery.
Got a £5 voucher from Kraft as we bought some Latte packs for out Tasimo and our one is an old model that don't take that size which wasn't clear on the packet.
MS and given me £5 as they forgot to give me 1 of my packets in the store so picked the other one up and the 1/2 calendars are really nice so perfect for presents.
JD Weatherspoon is investigating my food poisening claim (that was from last Sunday (Lloyds no 1 had one of MIL prawns and was sick all MOnday. I have now also finally got my voucher for the Dulux paintpod.
Going to chill out this evening in front of the box.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Friday at last I have been so busy this week, 6am starts, hotels and coming home jsut before 8pm really not that nice but still needs must. Going off today as well but should be back about 6.30pm so not too bad really. Still have a ton of emails to answer and stuff to do all before 10am when I leave today and to put it in context I am still in bed.
With the announcement of an extra bank holiday next year DH has taken those 3 days off which means we can finally go on holiday proper. We are looking to go back to the Belle Marge Plage in Mauritius where we got married nearly 7 years ago and we have not been back since. Its £3700 for 10 nights half board (5 star hotel) and free golf. We don't have any other savings than the ISA's so might have to raid them. I feel kind of bad for doing this but feel we deserve a holiday in particular DH which only ever get 2 weeks off to go to Denmark to be with my family or the Christmas break and that is it for a whole year plus of course bank holidays.
Will let you know if you go ahead and book it flights are going fast for the 23rd April so need to get on with it.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Holiday booked 23rd April to 2nd May 10 nights at the lovely Belle Marge Plage where we got married 6 years ago. Got it £200 cheaper than BA Holidays and that incl private transfers and airport Lounge. So happy cannot wait now. Just sorted Travel Insurance out how boring is that needed to do loads of comparison but found the main websites (the ones Martin recommend) useless as they don't exclude USA and only cover £2500 cancellation. Got one that suited for £67 with 17.5% backback so I am happy with that. Rather pay an extra £10 and get enough cover.
Done a bit more Christmas shopping my sister wanted a particular type of dress for my niece (she asked for this last year too and I could not find one) but this year I set off to find out what its actually called. Found it in Tesco (which is actually prefer to other brands I buy her) so I bought two in different sizes so cute. Got 1 in store and swopped £10 woth of vouchers so got £20 off which was very nice.

Its the special buckles she wanted we used to have those as kids back in the 70's so they must be back in fashion I guess or she is being nostalgic.
Made 3 more bags for presents so not looking too bad now. Still not heard about the carpet fitting 1 week now which is so annoying.
Hope you are all well feeling a bit stuffed as I have almost eaten a whole packet of posh chocolate biscuits. Too much to be honest.
Just got an email from Jessops 25% off their puzzles so ordered a 30cm x 40cm 120 pieces one for my puzzly mad niece £9.75 with 6% cashback from Quidco. Happy with that one.Save £12k in 25 No 49

More shopping today but all from the comford of my sofa. Spend 6000 Nectar points on 6 bottles of wine and 1 bottle of champagne only cost me £6.99 in delivery. They are offering double value for the points so 6000 points which is worth £30 normally is now worth £60 on wine at Nectar. Quite happy with that. Did look at some books but one would cost 3500 points and you can get it on Amazon for £7.50 so not worth it.
Should really get on and do a little bit of work as I am leaving at 9.30am tomorrow and is then off to Plymouth overnight then off to HQ Wednesday overnight. Next weekend is kind of work as Saturday night will be spent at Luton Airport Hotel and then we fly out Sunday to Lisbon to visit the other office. We get back Monday and then I drive straight to Bristol for a course Tuesday and then I should go to Plymouth again but I might give that miss and come home.
later on...... right done my bit of work actually quite good booked hotel for next week (£12 cash back) and sorted something else major important out workwise.
Also spotted on Quidco they have 20% off BodyShop plus a free Love my Body Card (mine is running out next week) and you get 15% cashback on top. Got a gift set for my friends 40th birthday and a handcream for my sister £28 take 20% off and a free bodybutter plus card £22.40 (plus 15% cash at Quidco) bargain I would say as I was getting the stuff for her in the BodyShop anyway.Save £12k in 25 No 49
