piggers - I meant to say before -Congratulations getting under £2000 - brilliant!!! I would imagine it is just you being tired and hormonal and having your house invaded by loads of people -hopefully it will all settle down very quickly - but remember if they offer to do anything/help then give them a job - maybe it will put them off coming back?:rotfl:

    Clean the sink! nearly done

Just going to do the sink when the kitchen is closed for the night - ie now! I gave it a wipe over earlier but it'll get a proper do when it stops getting filled with dirty dishes !

Washed all the bedding as it was nice and sunny when I woke up - by the time the first load had finished it was raining and it's been the same on and off all day! Oh well that's what a tumble dryer is for I suppose :(.

Hope everyone had a better day than me, not to worry, DS2 is back to school next Wednesday and it will all be calmer then!!

Well I think Moon thought about what I'd said, as he was out in the garage doing something this evening - haven't been out there to look, and he hasn't said anything, but will have a look tomorrow and see what has happened.

He was impressed by my wall and door cleaning though. I also hoovered the floor, and washed the areas near to the wall, as there were drips from the walls on it. Will do another wall tomorrow as the one I'm going to do next is the one by the oven, so has the most of these sticky marks.

I don't think the sticky stuff can be blutac, as it is on one of the other walls and is low down - it looks like drips of something. I swear the previous tenants must have had almighty food fights in there or something, as the wall I cleaned today, had what looked like really old tomato sauce on it right up next to the ceiling! Maybe they were making jam and had some sort of explosion?

Well dinner has been eaten, and dishes put in the DW. Will wipe down the sides when I go down with my tea cup in a bit.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • What a busy day everyone has had. Glad to hear Moon has a conscience. In my experience of Oh's him tidying the garage is as close as you will get to an apology. Not as much flying done this afternoon as dd wanted to catch up on driving practice (test in Sept) so off we went to get a few jobs done round and about the county. returned home in time to put dinner on, deliver new saucepan for MIL () and sort another load for the wm.
    from my list have managed:
    Level 1 -All:j
Level 2 - wipe front of appliances and units
Level 3 - Wipe over oven and hob
Extras - Sort T-towels, replace dishcloth, empty and washed out bins.

Couple of questions if anyone can help please:
Descale was on todays list, is there an easy/cheap way of doing this or do I need to buy something?
I've read somewhere about using vinegar as a fabric softener but can't find the thread. Anyone any idea of concoction I need to make?

    thanks ladies:)

I ironed all day until 5.45 when I started dinner for myself and the little ones. Ironing mountain now resembles a small hill so I will try to clear that tomorrow morning. My nephew is staying with MIL so DS1 and DS2 had dinner with him down the road.

DH has sneakily managed to book a business appointment around the blinking football. He had a colleague in the car with him so I couldn't give him an ear full. The delighted screams of DS1 and 2 when they got back from MIL's probably means that Orient have beaten Swindon. I'm not impressed as DH has a 3 hour drive home.

Sexymouse Hope your back isn't too sore. Well done on tackling your greasy walls. I need to pay some attention to the ceiling by the extractor fan so i'm paying alot of notice what you get up to! Hope you are pleasantly surprised by Moon's effort In the danger zone!

Toots - I agree with others - your list looks rather too long! Please take it easy.

Onestep My dyson was serviced last year. I got loads of free accessories and they replaced all the filters etc. I was also taught things about it that I never knew it was able to do! Enlightening!

DW to set off then I'm for bed. I was up far too early after yesterday's upset. Sorry you've had a similar experience mummyslittleboy. Flyladies are so much nicer than real live people!

    Night x
