RE the greasy walls in my kitchen, what would people use to wash them down with? They are painted with a matt yellow paint.

Washing down the wall, was relatively easy - the hard part, was getting the glossed white door clean - goodness knows what was on it, but it was sticky as well as having grease spots on it - almost like chewing gum - it would only come off if I used neat washing up liquid and lots of elbow grease (no pun intended). BTW if anyone is thinking this dirt was caused by us, it wasn't - it must have been the previous tenants - our management company was meant to have put professional cleaners in when they vacated, but they obviously don't do a particularly thorough job (some of you may remember me having to get them back as they'd left melted cheese all over the oven shelves and hadn't cleaned the toilet!

Just been into the garage to sort out the washing, and a big block of wood has just fallen on my back (Moon's precarious storage methods are getting beyond a joke now), and I've got a huge graze down my back now. I hadn't even touched anything in there, so it wasn't as though I knocked it over!
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

We had 2 dead mice today already but they don't eat 'em just dump them as presents for me to pick up...LOL

Now, if they went to the off licence or a chocolate shop to get a little something, that would be good... small fluffy animals dead of fright really aren't quite enough of a present, are they?:D

I have finished ALL of the playroom - hurrah indeed.

Who let the children back in ?

SS1 cleared the rubble sacks from the new bedroom and Henreyed upstairs, and helped me take DS2s new Hornby table upstairs. Do you think he wants to borrow against his backdated EMA and new apprenticeship (:j) for holiday spending :rotfl:?

Then I got very, very cross with Bennetts Motorcyle Insurance, who have joined the CSA, ICE, Debenhams and the EMA people on my utterly infuriating list of people you should never get involved with unless you have to.

That sounds possible short bird. I hadn't thought of that.

Have shown Moon the graze on my back and the offending wood etc, and he's apologised. Fingers crossed this will result in him actually tidying up in there sometime soon.

ETA Moon has put some antiseptic on my wound and said it's quite nasty. I asked him if he was going to tidy the garage up to prevent me getting injured again, and he said no - I told him to get off (he was hugging me at the time) and that he wasn't allowed to touch me again until he cleared it up, cos he'd injured me and didn't care that I may get hurt again! He said "fair enough" and walked off!

  • And the place is still tidy (the fact I've only been back 3 days is a clue to the reason :)).

And I'm off again! Paris this time (woo hoo!)

    See you all next week!

Oh no, Sexymouse, that is not on. That could've been a whole lot worse (not saying it wasn't bad enough, iyswim), and he needs to at least make it safe for you to be in there.
