    I got mine too early this year ( council cut them down )so put them in the freezer to burst them. I was always taught that sloes were better after a good frost anyway.

    Somehow, my 3 bottles of sloe gin made earlier in the year all 'evaporated' in the bottles ;)

  • I'm organising a Sloe Gin competition at my local club. I am amzed by how many people have said.... What's Sloe Gin?....Blimey!
    I thought lots of people would know. Must educate them :)

    My sloe gin should be ready for Xmas and I'm SO excited! I barely drink so it will be other really who will benefit from my walking, picking and bottling!

    Anybody else done Sloe Gin?

  • We have no sloes that I could find this year but I do have raspberry and bramble vodka :D:D I never drink the stuff myself but others love it :T

    I've done sloe gin and sloe vodka. They smell fantastic! Looking forward to tasting them!
  • Never tried Sloe Gin but Chrissie at Yorkshire Pantry has just posted a recipe for Christmas Cake flavoured vodka and I've already put a note in the calendar to make it next September!! :j
