Nintendo WII pre order only £180

If anyone wants the Wii to be a sucess they need to get ordering 3rd party titles. (Red steel looking like the best of the launch ones). All the previous nintendo consoles have sold great at launch, and sold loads of 1st party titles, but never many 3rd party ones. So the 3rd party devs abandon it as a platform and the games just dry up. sigh.

red steel is way behind atm spoke to a ubisoft rep yesterday in GAME

They have said on tons of ocassions that it will be ready in time for launch. The last I heard was that the game was pretty much complete and the main focus now is polishing the graphics. Even though graphics aren't the Wii's biggest focus point anyway.

Well Initially Wii was going to get far less 3rd party support than gamecube did. However they've seen the way the public have reacted to it and have completely swung their support the other way. The DS has been a big catalyst for this as well. EA have gone on record saying they haven't provided as much support for a Nintendo console since the SNES days. Which is a good thing since SNES was the biggest seller of the 16-bit days.

The problem with the N64 was the cartridge limitations, and all Gamecube really got from 3rd parties was badly ported PS2 games (like Burnout 1/2) once it started trailing behind Xbox. The same will happen again if Wii ends up in third place this generation but in all honesty I don't think it will considering its pricing point and what it offers over X360 and PS3.

Its the sword and timing that is all out atm.

For me the Wii is perfect.

I have a 360 but the games on PS3 and 360 take so long to complete I just don't have the time.

The Wii will be a fun machine that you can play for short periods and still have the fun.

Who has the time to finish games like Prey - not me!!

I have never heard of them and will only order form known companies. I.E Game who will not muck up the order or nick me cash.

In case people don't know, the European Wii will come with Wii Sports as standard.
