Well my guess of why it is in the grab it section is because with out a pre order you most likely want be getting it this side of Christmas, there are always some sort of shortages when it comes to new console releases remember the 360 last year.

As for the price I think it is too high it should be £150 over here to put it inline with the US and Japan but I'll live with the £30 extra, plus I'm still in denial and think Nintendo will drop the price just before release like they did with the GameCube.

Some of the games are priced at £50 at the moment as that was the place holder they had so as not to lose and money on pre orders. The release detail and price were only announced yesterday (30-£40 per game) so give them some time to update their prices.

As for pre ordering from Play I would advise to do it at your own risk, as the mess up with the 360 one as it was not on a first come first service basis but more a case of who was spending more with them getting them first.

    Whine whine whine whine.

I am getting one and it will not be from play either due to the mess up they made of 360 stock..

I will get mine from Game or woolies or even HMV and pick it up from them and not let someone have to deliver it a week later, + they are taking full payment now rofl.

You can get a game card and get 2.5% back in points to use for games. And they will not be £50 thats just a bookmark figure.

The Wii is region free its just some games that are not made first party may be region coded.

There is also a thread here that contains info about the Wii maybe they can be merged.

  • I'd rather wait and use quidco, topcashback etc.. and there are always discount codes around.
  • i can have a wii for free i don't see what the fuss is all about.

still funny after all this time:rotfl:
  • Try using play or amazon - both have all the pre-orders up for £40, much nicer than some other places.

  • Just for the record, Nintendo have confirmed that the Nintendo Wii is NOT region free.
  • I want a Wii so bad i'll sell my limbs and donate myself to bizarre medical trials just to get one.

Any parents out there wondering to get X360, PS3 or Wii for their kids for xmas, the Wii will be the most popular. The buzz surrounding it right now is feverpitch.

This console is going to be the business. :)
