Well if they are anything like the packages on the website I'll be steering well clear. Will pop into the one at Govan on the way home and see if I can get any more info and, if so, stick it on here.0 -

I've just had my Currys preorder sent out for delivery.
I told ds that Father Christmas may not be giving Wii's as presents, as the straps were not made properly and could break tv's. I said he may get a letter which meant he could get one when they were made safe.
I will now have to backtrack on this now to ensure he is not scared of using the Wii after a week of pulling my hair out trying to get one!!!
He is only 6 but loves Nintendo, just hope we have not scarred him with our horror stories of Wii.
We even showed him people who had their tv's broken (rare, I know, but the only excuse we could think up that had picture evidence):happyhear We are not put on this earth for ourselves, but are placed here for each other.
If you are there always for others, then in time of need, someone will be there for you.

It's just common sense, the people hurt or those who broke tv's didn't use any sense.
Who stands in front of as tv thinking ok if i losen my grip just slightly everything will be ok and it will never come out of my hand and smash the tv. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -
I read an article (can't remember which sight) that said it was the US release that had weak straps and that this was resolved for the UK release.0

I was panicking about the lack of clear info from PCWorld, so was looking around and managed to order one from toysrus. No sooner did I recieve the confirmation email than I then recieve one from PCWorld to say they are no processing my order for despatch, so in the space of 10 mins I have gone from wondering whether I would recieve one at all to having 2 guaranteed.
I can tell you all one thing though, if I do get two, one will be sold at cost and not put on E-bay with the other filthy scalpers!
Can I start the queue off
Not having any luck with this at all - after getting a 360 on launch day I was sure i'd be ok with the Wii but nothing locally and these false dashes to Tescos and Asda are doing my head in!
Happy to cover a few pints in the price for your trouble.

I think the handcontroller issue is only a problem if you decide to let go of the controller when it isn`t pulled tightly around your wrist. I played with my one and as long as you pull the strap to your wrist it should be fine.Give blood - its free0
