I know - so pleased. But now I have to wait till Xmas to play it!
And the difficult thing is, nobody knows I've bought it, so I'm thinking should I keep it a complete suprise until Xmas day and not even tell my wife, or should I tell her so that she doesn't go and buy too much more for DD, given that I've just spent £200 on a Wii?0 -

Do they want one ? if so, don't tell them, just keep it as a surprise. Just keep telling them that there are no available."Holding On For Dear Life" - read my true story of when my fiance suffered a stroke exactly 3 weeks before our wedding.

Blimey, is this hysteria really worth it?, the console will be widely available after xmas and after all it's only a toy at the end of the day !
I have 2 and I never even went looking for them !, it is just pot luck at the end of the day. I've been told by serious gamers that the X-Box 360 is much better.0 -

Its the user interaction that makes this console unique. You can't truly compare the two in my opinion. The 360 does have fantastics graphics / sound etc, but the Wii has fantastic user interaction.
With the recent hype and lack of supply no wonder people are busting a gut to get one."Holding On For Dear Life" - read my true story of when my fiance suffered a stroke exactly 3 weeks before our wedding.

if youve got kids yes it will be worth it.thankyou for your support mr i dont really want 1 but ive got 2:wall:0 -
I dont know if the 360 is better or not because i have never played one this the Wii IMO is the best console out. Only because of how interactive it is. I have had 4 of them and only went looking in 2 shops. I played one for about 6 hours and it is just awsome. Now that i have a couple more games i can't play them until xmas as it's put away til then now. But i give this 2 thumbs up.0

I'L BE HONEST, I think most parents don't know how to say no to their kids, I'm a parent and I certainly would never come to any hysteria for the lastest fad- pathetic in muy opinion

It isn't wrng to want things, but sometimes it just isn't possible !, personally I think there are a lot more important issues in the world to worry about and the Wii just isn't one of them. The console will no doubt be half the price this time next year and next year the PS3 will be the must have toy.
I'm selling mine to buy my kids extra presents so some good has come out of the hype !0 -

Everyones got their own opinion and ways to bring up there own kids. The Wii hysteria has really hit this forum hard. If parents do bow down to pressure and buy the latest gizmo then so be it (it puts a smile on the kids face at the end of the day).wlfc1 wrote:mods feel free to remove
I thought this was a board for free speech ??? Say what you want to say wlfc1
There have been a few people on here who are mad that others are snapping up Wii's to sell on ebay. I for one have been let down by Game and bought one off ebay (£100 over the RRP). I'm currently trying to track another one down so that I can make my money back. I don't see anything wrong with that."Holding On For Dear Life" - read my true story of when my fiance suffered a stroke exactly 3 weeks before our wedding.
