It's £145 at the moment, although this is due to rise - I don't believe the govt have said whenSays James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

A few questions... Would a French Nintendo Wii work in the UK (Is it PAL)? Can you connect it to the online Nintendo network to download games and play multiplayer (I know the US and Japan Wii's won't connect)? Do you have to pay sales tax (VAT)?
Thank-you.0 -
I wonder if the prices on eBay will go even higher now we're getting closer to Christmas.
All of you that have pre-ordered but haven't got it yet or have been told you are getting one after Christmas.
Are you going to buy from eBay just so your child/children have what they want at Christmas ?.
I know some will and some won't, it would be interesting to see how many would. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -

I don't see why anyone would.
You just say "you're going to get a WII in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, here's a bike/half dozen ps2 games/DS I bought with the money I saved by not getting one from ebay.0 -
            True, alot would do that.
My parents when I was a kid got me whatever I wanted,, i'm not sure if they'd pay £500 for something worth £179.99 though but i'm sure some will to make their children happy.
If it was me, i'd do as you say, get them other presents until I could get one for retail price. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -

Just been into Currys in Warrington and have just bought:
Zelda
Red Steel
1 Nunchuck
The sales guy brought out a box full of wii games and a few nunchucks, no remotes though.
Just thought you might want to know. He said that they haven't bothered putting them on display as everything just goes.
They have no Wii's though and the next batch are taken on pre-orders as well."Holding On For Dear Life" - read my true story of when my fiance suffered a stroke exactly 3 weeks before our wedding.

My Son doesn't even know I am planning on getting it so if something happened and I was told that It won't be arriving until after Christmas then I would just do him an IOU and tell him that he will get it as soon as it arrives.
I did the same thing with the PS2 when It came out.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Someoneis trying to sell a Wii with Zelda and Monkey Ball with a starting price of £900. Now that's just greedy and stupid. Who will pay £900 for a Wii? Like I've said before maybe a PS3.....wigan_rl_till_i_die wrote:The price has gone up already they were going for around £300 i have seen a few today go for £380-£400
