It took me about 5-10 minutes, but that was mainly because of my security settings (SSID not broadcast so had to be entered manually, mac address filtering - so i had to add the wii to the routers "allowed" list, long random password).
It was pretty easy even allowing for that, the use of the wiimote as a pointer made entering the password etc much easier than a joypad would have.0 -

I've got bt broadband and a bt voyager router, do I need to find my discs, passwords, etc. I'm set up to access it automatically on desk top and lap top. I'd better open the wii and start now so that its up and running for Xmas.0 -
djrobmac wrote:Explain why most of the major retailers are telling customers there isnt hardly any hope in getting one before Christmas! That makes good sense if they want customers to come back to buy one from them when "everywhere suddenly has stock"
Because if people have gone to that retailer in the first place, chances are they are going to go back to that place too.
People like familiarity.
As I said, centresoft used to serverely restrict the amount of playstations available in the runup to xmas, it would be big news in the media, people being turned away from shops. Then the last week before xmas they dumped a load on the market.
"Major retailers" are as much use as cat sh-it in a bucket. they are staffed by college kids who's only clue comes from what the reps tell them (and they repeat it as gospel).ॐ Signature Removed by Someones Mum. ॐ0 -
Anyone remember the slimline PS2 launch two years ago? Sony said their ship carrying ALL the new PS2s got stuck in the Suez Canal! Everyone was running round like a headless chicken trying to get one for Xmas then TA DA!!! The ship arrived and the shops were flooded just in time.
Anyone like to take any bets that there'll be loads of Wiis available in the last weekend before Xmas.
And while I'm ranting has anyone noticed that ALL Nintendo DS Lite Pink boxes have gone out of stock too?You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
