A good moan about KFC.....

With KFC I find you have to specify what pieces you want, otherwise they'll happily give you a bucket of wings and legs as I have found...0

For many years I actually found the KFC at Kings Lynn to be of superb customer service. Food was almost always ready in a bag on the counter before you'd got your change in your purse. The food was always hot and not once have I had a complaint there (though TBH I haven't been their for quite a while.) Also the place was clean though I think it was take-away only or there may have been a couple of window seats.
On the other hand I have visited the KFC at Boston many times and they are consistently appalling. Their service is dire. The staff never smile, rarely say please or thankyou and look blank at you if you ask for sauce or something they have forgotten to put on your tray. The eat-in area is always filthy and so it was NO SURPRISE to see in Bostons local paper that during a local health inspection they were awarded NO stars.
I have to admit they I do enjoy the taste of a KFC and thanfully now I live rurally I can't just pop out for some kfc fast food when I fancy it. However I have vowed NEVER to return to Boston's kfc. (There was a time when I even drove 45 mins each way to get a decent KFC!!)
Customer service is everything, IMHO, and goes a long long way. I have personally spent a bit more on products (Lakeland limited in this instance) in the safe knowledge that customer service of that store is second to none. When I make a complaint (which I hate to do) all I want is to be treated with respect, to be listened to and if I have been inconvienced then recompense for that.
I work in a butchers and recently had a customer whisper to me that her sausages the previous week were a bit too spicy. I said I would immediately inform the manager but she really did not want me to "make a fuss." I told the manager as it's important to us to know if anything is not just so and I immediately offered the lady a refund or replacement sausages. She said she'd eaten the sausages so it was OK but I insisted she had some form of compensation because if that was me and I hadn't enjoyed my meal I wouldn't be happy.
KFC should listen to their customers without question and should at least refund the person for the cost of meal. They could take a HUGE leaf out of Lakeland limited and Asda's customer service policy.0 -
I need to vent about KFC.
I am sick of being ripped off by them, every time i go i get my food home and there is always something missing. Last night I got home and my crispy strips weren't there, the time before i was a regular popcorn chicken, 2 fries and 2 sweetcorn missing and the time before that it was just the popcorn chicken.
As i don't have my own car i pay my sister £5 every time she takes me so if i was to go back i would feel like i have to give here another fiver.
It makes me mad cos my order comes to £35 EVERY time i go there, then i get home to discover something missing.
It makes it worse as my sister and my mam also got KFC last night and they both got something extra for free, my sister noticed her popcorn chicken was missing before we left and so went in to complain and got a large instead of a regular to say sorry and my mam wanted a boneless box and the breast strips would not be ready for an hour so she got a large vareity bucket instead and they gave her a bottle of pop and 2 sides for free.
I pay £35 and get jipped.
I have now decided i will no longer buy from KFC.
Vent over, sorry for the long post.

I ALWAYS check my order fully when I go to ANY fast food place (rarely admittedly!) because I got fed up with getting home to find something missing only to ring and be told "just pop back and we'll replace it" NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Thats NOT the point!!
So moral of the story is...check your meal before you leave (even (especially) in the drive through-sit by the window as you check) With respect, a lesson your sister and mum seem to have learned already!!Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

I find the best thing to do is check your order once you collect it from the Drive-thru.
It's happened to me a couple of times (not at KFC though) that somethings missing, so rather than the hassle of getting home and having to call them, I just have a quick check of the order and if anythings missing then nip into the shop.
(Oops, hadn't noticed Morty's post)0 -
I find the service in KFC paltry.
The staff are quick to 'gobble' up your money but when you complain they behave like headless chickens. I guess
They ask for customer opinions in some of there outlets, well sticking there beak into my business if you ask me, I have sent in my concerns in the past. Not anymore though.
They will have to get into the pecking order for my cash.0 -

*shudders* yes KFC Boston is very bad
On a side note do you realise they sell 2 types of gravy, most places use the juice and the bits off the tray and its yummy, but KFC in Skegness use some ready made stuff without the bits and juice and it tastes foul, the Manager said its because they don't sell much gravy.0 -
Sometimes it tastes foul.0

Had KFC last night and they gave me gravy instead of beans, forgot my BBQ dip and forgot my crispy strips!! (Crispy strips and BBQ dip best bits of KFC so one unhappy hungry customer!)
To be honest its a shame it tastes so good as Ive never had a takeaway and had the entire order given to me / had to wait less than 15 minutes. It is mighty tempting to write to their head office.Green and White Barmy Army!0
