MMM that bit has me worried, I am off in 12 days time and thought I had my ESTA application numbers (and a hard copy) safely tucked away, but I cant find either.
I know it is still valid as I applied early 2009
Does the address you stay at make a difference as it is different this year than last?
What to do? I am normally really organised0 -
If you haven't reapplied and therefore cancelled the ESTA you applied for early 2009, it will still be valid.
You don't need the number and you don't need a hard copy. The immigration officer will see all the details when he swipes your passport.0 -

Pending has always been a possibility (one of the reasons they say to make the application at least 72 hours before you travel) and all I've read have cleared within that period (usually within a few hours)...I'm not sure what you mean by refused because of some change to how the permission is granted...are you aware of a change?
I can understand someone not wanting to risk it - especially if they are to leave quite shortly - I'm paranoid about things like this by nature...but in theory there shouldn't be any risk unless the applicant's situation has changed or didn't answer truthfully the first time and decides to answer truthfully this time.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
There is an article about applying via ESTA and quotes Martin Lewis. It then goes on to provide a link to apply which is bogus as they request $45 to apply!!!
I completed the returns last year via my travel agent, online and also at the airport. When I entered the border in the US I queried why I had to fill in yet another application and was advised that the paper system is running alongside the electronic system.
I now intend to apply yet again to save on fees as I travel to the US quite a bit but beware bogus sites as with the E111 fiasco.0 -
Hi phone angel, could you give me a link to this article, please? I would have thought you meant this one but I can't see a link to apply within it: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20100807/twl-us-to-start-charging-for-entry-into-3fd0ae9.html
